Liked: Love Suharevka very much. The staff there were awesome. Love the nightly activities we have there. Met lots of awesome people there. Miss it very much right now. One of the best places I have stay in.

Liked: Location is central and value is OK. If you saty 1-2 nights and just need a place to crash, it's alright

Disliked: I don't know how this place got such high rating. It's completely lacking in character. If you want to have some rest it'll be difficult as the hostel faces a 24-7 traffic highway. Staff is not beaming happiness

Liked: Good location close to a Metro station and a 24-hour operated supermarket. If you are looking for cheap accommodation in Moscow, this is an excellent option.

Liked: Convenient location & staff very helpful when they could be. Beware, the hostel sits on a 12 lane highway and the traffic noise is terrible if you are a light sleeper in the dorm. Go for a private room at the back of the hostel.

Liked: We stayed at the Suharevka for 3 nights in May 10. We arrived at 9AM and check-in wasn't until 1PM but within half an hour they had our room ready. The room was a little above hostel standards. Staff was very personable, so I give them 100%.

Liked: I liked efficiency of all staff members, comfort of bedrooms is ok, cleanliness and security are perfect. Hostel is on the main road, so it's easy to go to Arbat and Red Square.

Liked: As of 1st May, parts of the hostel are under construction/renovation... which I suppose should be a good thing! The hostel is essentially two apartments on the same floor of an apartment block - you have to travel from one apartment to the other to use the toilets/shower, although the renovation might change that... although how would I know? When I arrived, there was a woman caretaker who spoke absolutely no English - the owners/managers were 'sick' or something... fortunately I have basic Russian, so was able to extract basic minimum information from this woman, although I wouldn't like to have turned up with zero Russian. On the second day, the caretaker accused me of smoking in the hostel, so I told her to mind her manners before she accuses people of things. Beds are ok, although one shared dorm looks over the Moscow inner ring road, so in summer (windows open etc), it's going to be noisy. Facilities average, but ok. Forget about safe storage of things... the lockers look like they could be opened in less than 5 seconds. I have stayed in a fair number of hostels and I don't believe this place deserves the rating it gets. It's not bad, but it doesn't get my vote!
