Liked: The apartment is very clean. Nice shower and kitchen.

Disliked: My main disslike eas that it was very small and there where hardly any people you could meet. I travel alone and find this a important factor. Besides that the staff wasn't very helpfull either: the girls were friendly nut nothing more and the guy who was ther large parts of the day was really anoyed when he had to get up. It was next to a 6 lane street so had to close windows during the night so it got hot. This is a hostel for couples, Japanese and other quiet people that stick to themselfs.

Liked: Location

Disliked: internet always crashing, bathroom was horrible, tiny towels to bath. The floor is broken as several other things. The worst and expensive hostel i ever been.

Liked: Great social area and kitchen makes it easy to meet people. Free internet and friendly staff were bonuses.

Disliked: Only has one shower, but that's not a big deal really.

Liked: LOCATION!! :) The hostel is located in the centre of Moscow, 3min walk away from metro Arbatskaya, next to Stary Arbat Street with lots of places to grab a bite, movie theatre located around the corner, in walking distance from Kremlin (around 10min), less than 10min walk away from m. Kropotkinskaya and Cathedral of Christ the Saviour etc.

Disliked: There's just one bathroom with shower for the whole hostel - it gets crowded in the morning. But if you take a shower in the evening when you get back (almost everyone is asleep already around 1am), you're good to go first thing in the morning ;) It's not that bad actually - you just have to expect this and it's ok ;)

Liked: the location is great, it is very close to Kremlin (10 mins. walk), and Arbatskaya (1 min. walk :)). a friendly staff who cannot speak english very well but their english level is better than the rest of the Moscowiens. a single but great bathroom, and hot water.

Disliked: they took money for your luggages on locker. it is 40 rub -same as the kremlin-. a little bit traffic noise on rooms who faces the main road at morning even it is sunday morning.

Liked: HM Hostel is relatively close to a metro station, so it is easy to travel from the Hostel around Moscow. This is the main draw in my recommendation to friends. The 10-bed dorm I stayed in was quite big and comfortable.

Disliked: Russia may be cold most parts of the year, but it will be appreciated if the rooms were equipped with fans to cater to summer. It was quite warm with 10 persons staying in the room without some fans to help circulate the summer heat. The toilets were not exactly very clean and one of the flush system would need some repairing to be done.

Liked: very good location, 10 mn walk to Kremlin, 1mn to Arbat Street a major pedestrian avenue

Disliked: no locker, so you have to feel confident with the others about your laptop and money. Just on ebloddy shower for up to 30 people, menaing that sometimes you leave without a shower or you lose your day queuing

Liked: great location, only a 15 minute walk to the kremlin - staff very helpful when i couldn't find how to cash my traveller's checks, gorgeous bathroom and really nice area to hang out and kitchen.

Disliked: noisy on christmas eve - but that's pretty expected - other than that, it was really quiet at night

Disliked: 1 x shower can defininately become an issue ... but if you anticipate this and plan for very early or very late its ok ...

Liked: The location is wonderful, ten mins of pleasant walking journey to red square. Arbat Metro Station is available only 2 mins away. It is very clean and comfortable. The meeting room is nice.

Disliked: Yuan left no negative feedback.

Liked: Brilliant atmosphere: the staff and other guests here are so friendly and you make instant friends. The location is great, the lounge is sunny and comfortable, good kitchen facilities, lovely bathroom. I was initially worried about only having one shower between all the guests but everyone is considerate and you don't have to wait long at all.Fantastic hostel - the best I've stayed in so far.

Disliked: The only thing that could make this better is some kind of locker for bags. However, you get to know the other guests so quickly that you don't care!

Liked: Wasn't much that I particularly liked - everything was just okay. It was clean and comfortable but not sure how its rating has got so high to be honest.

Disliked: Staff weren't overly helpful and there was no 'atmosphere'. Not a great place to stay at if you are by yourself; I didn't want a party hostel, but something that was a bit more friendly, with more helpful staff and facilities would have been nice. Everything cost extra too - they charge for maps, storage of luggage, and even for time you hang out after check out. Luckily none of these applied to me but I've NEVER seen that in other hostels.
