Liked: It's a small hostel nearby the cosy street Arbat. Walking distance to the Kremlin. All Furniture was new, just open for two month. but it is very hard to find, there is no sign at the door. But you have to take the first GRAY door if you come from the metro Arbatskaya and then call 14! There is free internetacces for one computer. Good Hostel

Liked: Very clean, completely rennovated hostel in great location, staffed with friendly, helpful girls - brand new and much better than other Moscow hostels (and hotels, which are never less than 200 bucks a night). Perfect as a stopover when visiting other parts of Russia (Yaroslav, Trans-Siberian, for ex) - for people who might not otherwise be able to afford to spend time in Moscow (which is expensive compared to everywhere else in Russia).

Liked: This is a very nice hostel. It has a great location, close to the center, and next to shops, stores, and the metro. For the price it's really nice. It just barely opened not long ago, but the staff is very capable. They even do registration, which can often be a hassle. If you're coming to Moscow for a short time, this is a good place to stay.

Liked: This hostel is brand new, so it's extremely clean. Furnishings are from Ikea -- so it's a pleasant atmosphere and a good night's sleep. It is walking distance to the Kremlin, less than 5 minutes to the subway and one block from Arbat Street. It has a kitchen so you can cook, a dishwasher for easy clean-up and a washing machine -- great since I'd been on the road for about two weeks. It also had tons of hot water. Even when I was the 10th person to shower, it was still piping hot.Downsides are: a lack of maps (be sure to bring/buy your own until the staff gets up to speed), fluctuating occupancy (sometimes there were lots of other people, other times not, which could be a problem if you were traveling solo and looking for a party).
