The staff (Nadya, Natasha and Elana(sp?) ) were all fantastic - their help help make my stay something to remember. Natasha helped me find my way around Irkutsk and Nadya was very helpful with general info. Great staff - best that I meet in Russia!

Although being difficult to find (it has a tiny sign at the side of the building) it was worth the search. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the hostel has a warm, homely atmosphere and decor - perfect respite from the cold outside! (They provide visa registration for 300R) I wish we could have stayed longer here.

Staff are EXCELLENT, very helpful and you dont have to book anything through them. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Location is not a problem - loads of buses and taxis going into town and to the station.

Very friendly staff who were always happy help. The paintings on the walls made you feel at home along with a fanyastic Lake Baikal map!

Staff are always on hand and very helpful. They spend time to make you feel at home. The location while not the most central has it's plus points as you see more of the city, not just the centre.

The location is really bad - but busses go all the time, we had a hard time finding them the first time though.

Staff are excellent, great kitchen, shower and toilet. if they had answered their phones i would have stayed again!
its a great place, just check some of the excursion prices as they have in fact nearly doubled! compared to the brochure which is 'old', if you want to hike at a good price, just go to Olkhon island yourself, where you can hike for free! (and stay at Nikitas!)

We could not find the hostel, as the directions that they gave us were VERY poor and inaccurate. We eventually had to stay at a hotel that was in the neighborhood. When we called to cancel the reservation, they told us that they couldn't find our reservation anyway. We got the impression that the place was poorly run.
