Roth Hostel

Roth Hostel is located in the heart of the historic city of Sibiu. We will be happy to accommodate our future friends in this beautiful house that was build in 1873. This was recently complete renovated.

We can accommodate up to 24 people in 4 bedded rooms and 8 bedded rooms. You also can find here 3 modern equipped bathrooms, a kitchen, a common room and a interesting yard where you can meet people all over the world.

The Large Square is the historic center of Sibiu, first time mentioned in 1411 as corn market. The public executions and public meetings used to be held here. Now is a beautiful place with many old buildings as the Bruckenthal Museum! It will take you just 2 minutes to get there from Roth Hostel!

Small Square is the second largest historic place of Sibiu and one of the most beautiful square in town. This square is a magnificent place surrounded by preserved medieval buildings and it is connected to the Large Square through narrows passages. You can find here many restaurants where the traditional food is absolutely delicious. Only 1 minute walk from Roth Hostel.

The C.A. Evangelic Church. The Evangelic Church is one of the most impressive buildings in Sibiu. It was raised in the 14th century on the location of an old Romanic Church dating from the 12th century. With a height of 73.34 meters, the tower is the tallest in Transylvania. The tower view of the city is absolutely fantastic! You will see it very close from your window!

The Bridge of Lies. Considered to be a forged iron gem, The Bridge of Lies is one of the most important symbols of the city. Rebuilt in 1859 by Friedrich Hütte in the former location of a wooden bridge, The Bridge of Lies is the first forged iron bridge in Romania. You will find from us the legends of this Bridge. 30 seconds walk from our hostel.

The Astra Museum of folkloric traditional civilization. The museum functions since 1963 under the name of the Museum of Folkloric Technique and stretches over 96 hectares and an exhibition circuit of 10 kilometers in length.

The museum hosts original monuments representative for the values of the Romanian village. Maybe the most interesting thing to find here: the ancient way of making wine!
