The Midland Youth Hostel 1 combines comfort, good taste and lots of great facilities to make sure that your stay in Bucharest is something to remember. Our staff speaks English, Spanish and Japanese and they will help you with anything you may need.
It's very easy and fast to reach, and within 10 minutes walking distance from our place, you can find a supermarket, bistros and restaurants, bars and clubs (we are located in the bar/club zone of Bucharest), money exchange houses, travel agencies, train tickets agencies, banks, to say nothing of one of the oldest and most beautiful parks in Bucharest, the Cismigiu Park, which is only 1 minute away from our hostel. Staying here , you will be maximum 5 minutes away from the main points of interest of the capital: the famous House of People ( now called The Palace of the Parliament), Vlad Tepes' old palace, the National Theatre, the Opera house, the University, etc.
The Midland 1 sleeps 22, in 2 rooms:
Orange (10 bed room) is darker and quieter, it is the best choice for late or light sleepers.It faces North.
Red (12 bed room) gives onto the main street which makes it a bit noisier and it also is a little brighter than Orange, because it faces South.
Things to keep in mind:
We have had some comments from guests regarding the following issues, so we are just trying to make them clear for everyone
-Smoking is IS ALLOWED in the kitchen/common area.
-There is air conditioning in all rooms but it is not ON all the time , if you need it , you just have to ask the staff to turn it on.
