Liked: I loved how casual the property was. Everyone was very helpful and informative, but my favorite part about Friends Hostel was that it was very easy to meet other people there and make new friends. The location was also good, and it allowed us to use the subway and get around the whole city.

Liked: - STAY THERE! Its a great place! Everyone is really friendly and you can have a lot of fun there! - The location is convenient, if you arrive or depart from the gara de nord or if you come from the airport (expressbus to gara de nord) - even though the amount of restrooms is limited, the facilities have been clean and tidy - proper lockers in the rooms - play darts! Its fun :D

Liked: Close to Bucuresti Nord station, staff were very friendly.

Disliked: It felt quite cramped, maybe just because of the stairs and the communal room in the basement. Our dorm just had mattresses for beds.

Liked: the bathroom is very clean and you have to clean thw water after your shower,i think it's good for everyone.....and they also have the common room like the rest room,but the bed is ok for me also....their kichen is also very nice,,,you can have fridge, hot tea or coffee and tost....the hostel offers the free breakfast that it's conveinent for me ..the breakfast is the ordinary one and self-help.............the location is very nice.easy to find from gara de nord(the train station)

Disliked: but i don't prefer to staying outside late,a little bit dangerous....and it is said from my roomate that there was a stranger came and entered the room and asking for money rude.....you should take your things safe...

Liked: The staff were very helpful and had time for everyone. They showed us all the good places to go, how to get there, looked up train times for us etc. The hostel is in a very convenient location for the train station so if you want to explore other parts of the Romania (we went to Brasov and Bran castle for the day) it's very useful. However, it's about 20-30 minutes walk from the Old Town where you find good bars and night life.

Disliked: Bucharest as a whole was not a great city and outside of the hostel the people we spoke to were quite rude and unhelpful. I would say it's only worth staying 1 night in Bucharest.

Liked: The property was run by great staff that were extermely friendly and helpful. They would even stay up late into the night to open the door when we came home from nightclubs and bars in the early hours.

Disliked: It was quite noisy in the mornings mainly due to building work taking place in the property. The property was also a little small.

Liked: English was spoken and the people on reception were very friendly. The military museum was on located further down the same street. I would reccomend any tourist or backpacker to see this place because it was so interesting to see the history of Romania put over especially the Roman period. Regards the hostel it had a single PC that seemed to be availiable and a great kitchen and common room downstairs. Bucharest is not Prague or even Budapest and local places to eat and drink were difficult to find. I was easier to stay and take back food and drink to this very hospitable place which had an ethos of mutual respect.

Disliked: The dorm doors were left open but the same floor reception kept a tight eye on security. It was a mixed dorm and toilet shower place but it worked out OK .

Liked: I liked that it's near the train station, staff was excelent and helpfull, bathroom, room and kitchen were clean. I am really satisfied with my choice of East Hostel. Greetings from Croatia

Liked: Good location. But, recommend walking the 50-200m to another hostel. Sharing a room with a drunk old man who spits on the mattress (he had no sheets) and floor in between sitting up and talking/yelling resulted in the 3 other persons in the room having a most unpleasant stay. After reporting it to the staff (2 young gentlemen) they laughed and stated he'd been staying there for some time. Given that they were aware about the man's behavior, it would seem appropriate to advise guests at the least or more likely to not put others in the same room or most likely not provide beds to drunks. Just think you may get the lucky nasty mattress! Additionally, bathrooms were dirty and breakfast was limited.

Liked: The hostel was situated very closed to the central train station, so it was perfect. If you wanted to go by walk to the centre it takes about 30 minutes, but also you have metro or tram for going there, although metro is a little bit confusing...Staff was very helpfull with us and gave us a map for free.

Liked: I actually moved to another hostel after staying here. ?t was really hot and there was no AC. My room was on the first floor by the main door. We had the window open to get some fresh air but just outside were some people smoking and talking until about 2AM. They don't offer any tours and don't know of any. They couldn't help me with any bus details but it's not really their fault since the bus transportation in Bucharest is pretty awful.

Liked: Had a great stay... The only thing that might be a little annoyance is the location from the Old Town as it is a little far away but other than that the hostel is great!

Liked: It is a nice hostel and a short walk from the train station. It is on the corner of a busy intersection and is pretty loud outside sometimes. Staff was very helpful.
