Liked: The house was a nice place near the centre of Brasov. The room was not very big, but clean. The breakfast buffet was ok.

Disliked: It is a little bit complicate to find the first time you arrive in. It is a pitty they do not offer dinner or barbacue as they have a very nice garden with barbacue they do not take advantage of (at least for customers).

Liked: First of all, this isn't really a hostel, but a pension. The rooms are great and the beds are great too. The pension is located in the old city centre of Brasov, so all the major tourist atractions are within walking distance. The staff is really great, I forgot my camera in a taxi (stupid me), and the owner putted a lot of effort in returing the camera to me. Also the breakfast is really nice.

Disliked: maybe it's a bit more expensive then a hostel, but you do get a private room and a nice breakfast.

Liked: it was within walking distance to town and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good with the offer of fresh made omelettes/eggs a bonus.

Disliked: it was hard to find and found it difficult to communicate as not much english was spoken.

Liked: The breakfast is really good, the rooms were nice and clean, as were the bathrooms. The whole place feels comfortable and there is a nice backyard area. It's also very close to downtown Brasov.

Disliked: I wish they'd actually had laundry facilities and been able to take credit cards like they said. The directions to get there were kind of hard to follow and you can't see the name on the building unless you come from the right angle which is kind of a pain.

Liked: It was like staying in a hotel for the price of a hostel--private room with shower and TV, and a breakfast buffet with meat, cheese, juice, fresh bread, yogurt, etc.

Disliked: There was wifi but that's useless if you don't bring a laptop (though they did let me check my e-mail at reception). Also, the directions are confusing, so save yourself time and energy and get a taxi--shouldn't be more than 10 lei--make sure they use the meter.

Liked: Felt like home away from home. The room was lovely and cosy. Breakfast every morning was delicious and was nice being able to help yourself to tea and coffee. Staff were very helpful. Was great having wi-fi in our room.

Liked: Nice house on the hill, very close to the city centre, and not that noisy. Good breakfast buffet. Only about 8 Lei with cabs to the train station.

Disliked: The kitchen is not to be used by the guests, but this is not so bad as you tend to be in the city most of the time anyway.

Liked: I love this place! Ask for room 7, top floor with 3 beds. Very spacious, cozy and equipped with mini fridge and a TV.The host, Catalin is friendly and helpful. 10 minutes walk to Piata Sfatului, 30 minutes walk from Brasov Train station. 30 minutes walk to Bus Station 2 if you want to go Bran castle.

Liked: The property was well maintained and had a picture/postcard look about it. It was a short walk from the"Republicii". The rooms were spacious, bright and inviting. The kitchen was small but provided adequately for snack and tea/coffee making facilities. The owners were helpful; providing tourist information and contacting taxi companies for onward journeys. We had a great stay here and would recommend this property to other travellers.

Liked: The fellow who owns and operates this place, Catalin, once worked onboard ship for one of the major cruise ship lines. His last job there, after eleven years, was that of head waiter. Why is that important in this review? Well, because Catalin has a very strong sense of customer service and hospitality. He has seven rooms here, each one has a private bath. He puts-out a very nice breakfast. The location is great; very close to the "old town." The place is kept clean, and it is a very quiet neighborhood. This is a great place to stay. You will not be disappointed in any way! Trust me.
