Liked: Familial feel to the place, sociable. A little tricky to find, but good once there. The surrounding area is very beautiful.
Disliked: Probably a little out of town if not using a car.

Liked: Good value for money
Disliked: Very few toilets for the number of beds. If the hostel is full you will have to wait ages for a toilet/bathroom.

Liked: The family who runs it is very energetic and super friendly. My friend and I hadn't eaten in like 14 hours, everything was closed, and they sold us Romanian ramen for really cheap. It was great.
Disliked: Nothing, really. It was great. You have to be quiet at like 1am, but that's pretty reasonable.

Liked: the location is very good and you get a lot of tips from the stuff
Disliked: The hostel could offer so much more (pool, barbecue etc.) but they're not using it. The breakfast is a little small and the TV is running all the time. Why can't they just play music ???

Liked: The guy who works there seems to be a one-man-reception, he was there 24/7 and always ready to help and give advice. The hostel has big rooms and you get to meet new people everyday, its really fun! The breakfast is just jam and toast but thats better than nothing ey! The location of the hostel is good, its located in the Old Town and only a short walk to the main square.
Disliked: Three bathrooms for the whole hostel sometimes resulted in you waiting for ages till the bathroom was free, but usually its not that packed anyway.

Liked: Not much
Disliked: Booked into the 6 dorm with en-suite and was woken up all morning by other people in the hostel coming into the room to use the bathroom. Poor security in the room. Bathroom got messy very easily. Woken up every morning around 1-2am with people checking into the room. Stoopid rule of no shoes inside yet you can walk around all day with your thongs / sandals and enter the hostel no problems. Got the hard sell on their tours when you can do it much cheaper yourself.

Liked: Hostel was ok but the guy who runs it is not. When we arrived he wouldn't even show us our room until we went to an atm and paid him. Our booking was in euros and he used a seriously unreasonable exchange rate when calculating how much we owed him in the local currency on arrival. He then tried to shove the hostels overpriced tours down our throats. The guy just seemed like a money hungry penny pincher. The hostel runs a tour where you pay 30 lei to watch bears eating out of bins in a high rise block, which was really unethical. After our first night, he tried to double charge us. He also had no record of a guy paying 85 lei for a tour. Would not stay here again!

Liked: but the actual hostel was nice, apart from the bottom dorm of six beds we eventually got put into, nice location, but room was extremely mouldy smelling and the sheets were the most uncomfortable ever slept on, but the hostel was a great way to meet people and the lady that runs it gave a lot of info on places and day trips.
Disliked: (above) the whole private room apartment situation being outside of the old town and not even close to the actual hostel. in a horrible location ! mouldy smell in smaller dorms, uncomfortable sheets etc

Liked: Nothing good - sorry.
Disliked: This is the worst experience I've ever had at a hostel. I booked for two nights and arrived in the morning. Even though I was the first person to arrive, a string of people were dealt with by the only person managing the customers - she did her best, but the place had 70 people in it, and she was trying to manage all of that and a 30-person excursion, someone wanting to hire a car, go on a tour etc... utter chaos. I left after waiting for an hour and a half with two couples having jumped the queue for me to be dealt with - a 2-minute job of checking me in. When I finally was given my room, I found it was completely not what I was promised. I booked a 6-bed dorm en-suite. But I found I was in one room of 9 beds - no en-suite- and to get to that room you have to go through another room of 10 beds. So in fact it is a "19-bed dorm, 1 shared bathroom". Not quite "6 Bed dorm, en-suite". There are 70+ people staying in the hostel at this moment, with three bathrooms. There are no separate toilets so nobody can go to the toilet if someone is using the shower. I even had to pay 5 Lei (1.5 Euro) for a towel. Hostelbookers were good and refunded me my deposit.

Liked: Nice and friendly hostel with a lot - and by that, I mean a lot - of people to meet. One or two more bathrooms would be great cause lineup can be very long... Close to the center. We stayed 3 nights, we never saw the door being locked. And our lockers were broken, left without key. Still the hostel is in a secure area and we had no problem, but theft can easily happen there. We had a good time!

Liked: Location.
Disliked: First of all they just tried to put as much beds as possible in all the rooms, so you have less than 15 cms between each bed, the bathroom is occupied almost all the time and you have other guests just walking all over the place. They offer you some tours to Brans castle as well as Sinaia. They told us that is was cheaper to go in the tour with them (9 euros) than taking a trainto the town, which later on we found out was a lie, the train was only 1 euro back and forth, SO DO NOT TAKE THOSE TOURS. Besides they just take you to the place and leave you there, the information they tell you has no relation with what youll see.

Liked: Its a big clean comfortable place (a converted house), with lots of people to talk to. They organise trips to Bran and Peles castles. The breakfast is OK (bread, jam and eggs). The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The room smelt a bit, despite having the window open during the day. I was a bit disappointed with the trips they organised - they marketed them as 'tours' and I was told that we would get to see a whole bunch of places, but in the end it was just transport and all we saw was Bran and Peles (we were told we would stop to take photos of Rasnov, which is closed, but we just drove straight past it). Also there's only ever one person on duty at the hostel and with close to 40 guests thats not enough.
