Location Information

The Casa Traiana is an excellent budget hotel in Alba Iulia – Romania. This lovely city is located on the Mures River in Transylvania. The upper city is the area of most interest for tourists. Here you can view the city’s Fortress, which was built in the 1700’s. Inside is the Roman Catholic cathedral which was built in the Gothic style and is quite an impressive piece of architecture. Other popular tourist sites and landmarks that are located inside the fortess include the Batthyaneum library, the Orthodox Cathedral, the Babylon Building (or the National Museum of Unification), Union Hall, Apor Palace, the Princely Palace, and the University of Alba Iulia. Alba Iulia is a charming city to explore that is full of history and character.
