Liked: It would be impossible to find a better location than this. Unbelievably central.

Disliked: The electricity kept going off but I think this was temporary. The room is so big that it was hard to keep warm with only one radiator! There wasn't a lot of hot water - enough for one shower per hour.

Disliked: Cleanliness-very bad. Women hair were on beds, in the toilet, all over in the bathroom.

Disliked: It was very noisy at night as it is on the upper floor of a main intersection.

Liked: We like only location.

Disliked: It is not clean, like they didn't clean for days and the sheets are not so representative. It could be great place but they need to think more about guests needs. There is not internet.

Liked: Good location, situated in the centre of the historical attractions. There is LivingTours agency below and the staff provided us with maps and recommended places to go and eat.

Disliked: The toilet is a little small but it was a pleasant stay afterall.

Liked: Our room completely exceeded our expectations! The views from our multiple balconies was amazing - the noise might bother some but it didn't bother us. The staff was helpful and everything about the place was great.

Liked: I really liked just the view and of course its very central and logistic location (few steps away from the central train station and a metro station)

Disliked: I didn't like the fact that they promoted their property as deluxe, and then not even bothered to clean the place before our arrival. I also didn't like the fact that we upon our arrival, were handed over a cold room with following note from the receptionist: "It's quite cold up there, but there is a heater that you can use freely". Of course when we got to our room we discovered that the almighty heater was a small electric one that was supposed to heat up a freezing room of over 35m2 with 3m high ceilings!!!)

Liked: Location is excelent, right in the city center and 5 minute walk to everithing you have to see. The rooms are huge and have an amazing view to the city.

Disliked: Really noisy.

Liked: Right in the centre, no need to take a tram/bus/... to get in to the city or back to the hotel. Close to the airport. Metro (tube) station right on the other side of the road. Quite a nice view from the room. Big windows. Portuguese pastelarias/cafes and bakeries just outside the hostel. It is great that you can book sightseeing tours with the same agency (Living Tours) few steps far away - on the ground floor of the building. Make sure that you are aware of the fact that you can switch off/on electricity/heating/warm water in your own room!!!

Disliked: This property suits to someone who is happy to stay in a standard room with no extra services (apart from the sightseeing tours which the agency offers). If you are used to business class and posh hotels, do not even think about staying here. If you prefer being out rather than being stuck in the room, this hostel is for you. As there is no kitchen, no common facilities, you do not really get to chat to anyone but there is no need for this as you can go out and interact with local people or other tourist. It was quite noisy at night. we did not mind but if you are sensitive about this, make sure you pack some earplugs in your suitcase :) It would be nice to make the room a bit cosy but furnishing it more. Make sure that you are aware of the fact that you can switch off/on electricity/heating/warm water in your own room!!!

Liked: for 30 euros a night good value for money, the room was large with bathroom and great location.

Disliked: Noise was the biggest problem, traffic from the main street and a construction taking place just nextdoor. The showerhead was broken and had to be held to have a shower, and limited hotwater. Night that we arrived had to make international call to access key.

Disliked: Poor cleanliness, room at the top floor, sewer system was bad, the room stank an awful lot

Liked: la grandeur des chambres, la situation idéale pour découvrir Porto, juste à côté de la gare pour ceux qui arrivent en train. Les murs de pierres dans la chambre donnent un cachet spécial à l'endroit, et surtout le PRIX est imbattable

Disliked: Vraiment bruyant la nuit à cause de la circulation, prévoir une paire de boules Quiès et le tour est joué.

Liked: Effectively an apartment, one floor up from the street level, with ensuite facilities, floor-to-ceiling French doors and shutters - all this opposite Sao Bento train station and the metro station. Very hard to beat.

Disliked: Given the extremely central location facing a main traffic artery, it can seem noisy. (However, not a problem after a full day's sightseeing when you're aching for a decent place to sleep.)
