Liked: It was easy to use as a home base to get to all other attractions. Clean, quiet atmosphere, definitely worth checking out if you just want a good nights rest.

Disliked: The noise seemed to echo throughout the building. 2 bathrooms would of been hard to manage if they were full, I think. The staff are always in the lounge room which gave the atmosphere of someone babysitting us. They gave me a key lock code, but the second day they changed it and didn't inform me, luckily I got home before they left at night or who knows if one of the guests would of heard me knocking.

Liked: brand new and clean,away from main roads.breakfast is very good and not limited

Disliked: no athmosphere at allin the hostel,in a city that is boring too,where every terrasse -bar is closed well before night fall.this will help you hitting the road to elswhere.

Liked: Filipa is very helpful and does his max to please, other girls too; nice hostel new and beautiful, well located in poetic area, much better than others for same price

Disliked: just one and only detail : i regret that the printer cannot be connected with internet, i could not print the plane reservation boarding pass, which is now requested by low cost agencies Ryanair, it has costed me 40 € to have it in the Airport

Liked: This backpackers hostel is really comfortable, and the staff of Steps House makes you feel at home. A special thank you to Alexandra for her kindness, her constant cheerfullness and her useful tips. To put it in a nutshell, this backpackers has a very good quality/ price ratio.

Liked: Awesome hostel, felt like home!! Alia and Alex were SO friendly and told me all the places to visit. I loved every minute of my stay here! Brand new facilities, big bathroom which was great. Can not recommend this hostel highly enough!!!

Liked: Staff knew me by first name by the time I left. Kitchen facilities were top-notch, the whole hostel was really modern with an excellent common room. Located within 5 minutes walking of the Riviera. Number of guests was not so large that the place was crowded.

Disliked: We followed all of the walking instructions through town before seeing at the bottom that they had included which bus to take to shorten the walk to 5 minutes. Our fault, but putting that at the top would be more convenient. They were also out of city maps for our entire stay.

Liked: The hostel is quite new, the kitchen very well equipped, the beds are good, the internet connection runs fine and the breakfast with fresh rolls and freshly grounded and brewed coffee makes a good start in the day. The location is also good, if you are not coming by personal car (be however prepared to mount some steps).

Disliked: There are a lot of small things that are negligible on their own but some up to a less enjoyable stay: There were not enough lockers as some of them were broken (however, I asked and could have left my laptop with the staff, if a locker would not have been freed just in time). There are no individual lights at the beds which means that whoever wants to read or comes home late needs to brighten the whole room. The door at the upper room does not close well, so it is either left open or closed quite loudly... The bathrooms are both bathrooms and toilets. So whenever there is some water on the floor and the next guest is coming in with its shoes, the floor is immediately dirty. Instead of watching TV or surfing on the internet all day long I'd recommend the staff to have a look at the bathrooms more often. Or to leave something at the disposal of the guest, to wipe up the water. Btw: would be better to put a sign also on the inside of the bathroom asking the guest to leave the room as found...

Liked: Excellent kitchen - only thing missing is a toaster (hint, hint!) Quiet area, good beds. Big bathrooms. Good common area to hang out at. One computer with internet access to share for the hostel - not a problem for us as it was not overly crowded while there and everyone was fair in taking turns. The guy who works there (can't remember his name :[ ) was very helpful and friendly. Clean place.

Disliked: Practice on your stairmaster before going because it is up a lot of steps, just as the name indicates! The female with the reddish-brown hair that worked there kind of ignored us as we waited at the door to be let in for about 5 min. She was too busy with her friends to walk down and let us in I guess. She had a few friends there and they took up a lot of the kitchen cooking while we, the actual guests, were trying to cook. There was an extreme lack of water while we were there - as in not even enough to brush our teeth - but that was supposedly because the city was working on the waterline.

Liked: really luxury and well equiped hostel, relaxed, informed, and friendly staff

Disliked: it's really not fit for people who don't like to or cant walk long distances up and downhill and stairs
