Liked: A nice and small hostel nearby the river Douro and just 10 minutes from downtown by walk. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.

Liked: The stay was comfortable and fun. Everything was clean. After first night I woke up and could not remember when was the last time I slept so well. Marta was very nice person to chat with, also helpful with finding right bus to go to places; and Ben was funny guy always having what to say. Amost everyone who entered the hostel was noticing that this place was like home. And it really was: you can watch TV, use hostel's computers or cook. If you are using your own computer and living in top floor, it is big possibility that you will not connect to WIFI, maybe because of thick floors, I dont know, But it is not iportant. I definitely would recomend this hostel and would stay there other next time.

Liked: Steps House Hostel was one of the nicest hostels I have stayed in thus far. I felt comfortable at the Steps House and felt as if I were staying at a friend's house rather than a hostel. I enjoyed meeting the other people staying at Steps House and the hostel staff was really nice and helpful, especially Ben. Ben offered great advice on things to do in Porto and when I mentioned that I had an early morning flight to go home the next day, he called a cab for me. When I was researching Steps House, the one comment that I consistently saw was that it was difficult to actually find the hostel but if you just follow the directions and take your time, it really isnt that difficult to find it, I promise. I had a wonderful weekend in Porto and would recommend the Steps House Hostel.

Liked: The staff is super friendly and very international which makes a pleasant atmosphere. You have the impression you speak with some good old friends. kitchen: very well equipped. the hostel in general is brand new. it is a small place but very comfortable. if you found a free place, consider yourself super lucky. i stayed in more than 30 hostels all around europe, but this one is the best. if you don't have a laptop for wifi, you can use one of their notebooks. the breakfast is great.

Liked: it is more to be hotel. its little bit expensive for back packers . but worth money. the floor is made up of parquet, so foot steps are heard loud and clear. and is likely to disturb sleeping at night time . .. my dorm was at the 1st floor and the common area is at the groud floor , meanwhile sleeping, outher partynig down stair. heard them loud and clear.than the rest service, location , cleanliness is very good.

Liked: free internet, printing, breakfast. Very nice livingroom, sleepingrooms, and a clean and modern kitchen. Vicky (personel) was very nice and friendly, she gave some nice tips for porto. Over 2 weeks I am comming back!

Liked: Stepshouse is very nice place with great hospitality. Vicky and Ana (staff) are very helpful and friendly and they enjoy the stay of travellers. We also met alot of other kind travellers there!Stepshouse really is the place to stay in Porto!!

Liked: Great place to stay in Porto! It was very new and extremely clean. Location was good, it was easy to walk to all the tourist areas. Breakfast was really nice and they had everything you needed like free internet, washing facilities etc even had a free glass of port! The lady who ran the hostel was very nice and helpful in regards to where to go, what to see etc. It was like staying in someone's house rather than a hostel.Would definately stay here again!

Liked: Don't hesitate! I don't believe you'd find a better place to stay in Porto. Everything was as it was described or even better - where else can you get extra cake during breakfast or porto wine while sitting in a comfortable living room? At the end, let me only mention friendly, helpful stuff :)

Liked: Great place!All major sites in Porto are in that area! The Yellow Bus -tour bus- is just down the steps ! Super clean and cool staff! Totally recommend it!

Liked: It's a nice, modern place, with nice, modern people in a old, more or less rough neighbourhoud with houses that need a repair and people with low incomes. This contrast made it for us an interesting place to be and to get an good idea of Porto.
