Steps House

Steps House is in a perfect location -Miragaia- is now a protected zone due to its status as a World Heritage Site and is a jumble of fabulous little cobbled streets that have been there for 500 years.

At Steps House you’ll find a warm welcome in our spacious lounge and kitchen 24 hrs/ day. Our staff will help with all your traveller’s needs, for example: tourist info, ticket service (shows or city tours), night life tips, laundry service, or just a beer while you plan your next activity 24 hrs/ day.
At Steps House our main goal is to make you feel at home. We have three floors where the dorms and bathrooms are distributed over the floors. It has been totally renovated to a very high standard with a totally equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a great lounge.
There are 2 mixed shared dorms and a private room. our maximum capacity is 16 people so
although it is a big and spacious the house feels very cosy!
The living room has a fire to light up during the winter and the house has central heating as well! So during the winter cold nights you can cuddle up around the fire and enjoy your free glass of Porto wine!

Right by the River Douro, home to the port wine houses of Sandemans, Ferreira and Cockburns amongst others this area is full of life yet extremely friendly with much to do and see, typical Porto, unspoilt, warm and full of character. Inspiring buildings abound. Churches, museums, trips on the river, tram journeys to Foz, boats across to the beaches of Gaia, great restaurants, cafes and bars, it's all there to do. And this a fabulous house to have as a base. Central heating gives the option to visit all year round in total comfort. The River Douro is a minute away and Ribeira which is the heart beat of Porto is just along the river. The locals will get the barbecue going on their doorsteps and invite you to join them for sardines and fish fresh from the morning and a glass of Port is obligatory!
