Liked: hot showers, great location (walking distance to everything), the owner was super friendly, and full kitchen. We were the only guests for most of our stay and it felt like we had our own apartment right in the city center.

Disliked: Got a little cold at night, but there were plenty of extra blankets.

Liked: This hostel was in a perfect location for the price! It was within walking distance to everywhere that one would want to go in the city. It's in a beautiful part of the town not too far from the Port itself or the city center. The building has a lot of character, and as Alexandre, the hostel owner, explained, it is about 300 years old and has been renovated. We stayed in the private double ensuite and although small, it had enough space and stayed warm with the space heater that was provided. There were other guests staying in the shared rooms on the other side of the hostel, but it stayed quiet at night and we felt very comfortable. We didn't utilize the kitchen as we were only there for a weekend, but it was very well equipped. Alexandre was nice enough to come let us in when we arrived and let us check in early. He also gave us advice about what we were interested in seeing and doing in the city. I definitely recommend staying here!

Disliked: Only a few things that could be improved: the wifi was not reliable and the power could get overwhelmed easily. However, both of these things didn't really interefere with our stay as we were mostly there only to sleep.

Liked: This hostel was excellent. I just still cannot believe how this hostel kept the price so low with excellent quality of accommodation. I am not kidding. You can actually walk to everywhere famous from this hostel. Furthermore, it's perfectly safe.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: It's really cool and cozy! It's really nice and small hostel. So if you prefer cheap accomodation with big privacy, it's totally best choice! The owner is really sympathetic and willing... We really enjoy it!

Liked: Old looking house, calm, warm, perfect location.

Disliked: The discoordination with the owner, we had to wait half an hour until getting the keys.

Liked: Very well located. Very clean and modern. It is the perfect spot, with many nice restaurants just around the corner. The owner of the appartment are extremely helpful and friendly. Great value for money.

Disliked: The apartment is at the street level so there is no view.

Liked: We were agroup of 3 girls and booked a couple of nights only because we were going to visit other areas in Portugal. We came back to Porto for our last night before going back to ENgland. We really wanted to stay at Casa dos Taipas again but it was already booked. It was the perfect place for us - locationwise and spacewise as well. There is a comfy living room area with a computer and internet access, which is very helpfull! The kitchen is fully equipped as well so we could have cooked if we weren't too keen on walking around the entire city! It was also very clean and with comfortable beds. AND we were welcomed in the city by Alexandre (the owner of the place who offered to pick us up at the airport) and he kindly told us about places to visit in Porto, Matosinhos, Vila Nova de Gai, etc...Overall, a very good place to stay and with good value for money.

Disliked: Everything was great.

Liked: The property was better than what I imagined from the pictures (Very spacious, birght and clean). It even included a computer with free Wifi access which was not included in the description. Also, Alexandre the property manager is very kind and accomodating. He even offered to pick us up from the airport at no additional cost.

Disliked: Nothing. Everything was ideal!

Liked: it was so nice, our family used it for 2 nights 3 days, and it made me feel like i'm using my home, alexsander was so kind, he gave us all the information, he really took care of our family, I'd love to visit here again definately, and highly recommend others to use here!

Liked: Best location, dont think you can find anything better, right in the middle of the old porto city, everything is around and walking distance. The place is really value for money. The owner of the place was very helpfull and a nice guy. We enjoyed every minute of the stay. We might even come back.

Liked: Fridays and Saturdays it can be loud outside because of some nice bars in case it is warm. Once the bars close, late at night, people just start chatting on the street. This only apply to the living room, however. The bedroom is extremely quiet despite the excellent location of the appartment in the very center of Porto! We loved sitting on the peaceful french balcony of the bedroom and enjoying the portuguese sun and even the sunset!The living room can also be loud in the morning because the appartment is on ground level and after entering the appartment you directly get to this room. Again, this does not affect the living room, where you will only hear the gulls!The kitchen is immense!We had a very nice stay there. It is centrally located and we got even extras such as an iron after asking for it. In the closest neighborhoods there are all kinds of shops, bars and restaurants.
