Liked: Pao de Acucar is 100 yards from the Alidos Metro stop in the city centre, which is 30 mins from the airport, and walking distance to everywhere you will want to visit on your visit to the wonderful city of Porto. When we arrived at the hotel Dave was so welcoming and was helpful every day during our stay. The hotel is charming with unique vintage furniture throughout and a stunning staircase in the middle, which gives it a cool, retro feel. Our room was big with Parquet flooring, air conditioning and stylish furniture pieces. Breakfast was basic and adequate. It was a bit noisy outside on Saturday night but only enough to stir me from sleep momentarily. We loved this hotel and will stay their again when we return to Porto.

Liked: This is a basic 3 star hotel which is fine to stay at if you are not looking to meet people and just need a good centrally located place to stay.

Liked: A localização é excelente, o quarto era limpo e confortável (apenas o banheiro era pequeno). Os funcionários são atenciosos e prestativos. E o café da manhã é excepcional. Eu recomendo esse hotel para quem está buscando algo simples, mas agradável e com bom preço.

Liked: Price quality is excellent, you get a nice, warm, clean room (but small), a good breakfast, walking distance (1 min) to Oporto's historical centre, and nice english speaking staff. Don't rely on the photos because the rooms you're getting aren't that nice, but really, what did you expect for such a bargain?

Liked: Central but very noisy and next time we would not stay in the centre of Porto which is very run-down with too much graffitti for our taste. For northern europeans who are used to complimentary items left out,it was strange to then be charged for them. No tea/coffee making facilities. Bathroom was the smallest we have ever experienced.

Liked: Not a hostel but a hotel. Good location (about 10 min walk to the train station). Room was very big with everything you need. Staff spoke good English and were helpful giving directions. The breakfast was also nice, typical stuff like cereal, cheese and meats. Would stay here again for sure.

Liked: It's not actually a hostel but a proper 3-star hotel. I got excellent value for money booking a single room online -that got me a whole room plus en suite for 37 euro. Fab location in the Ribeira (world heritage listed old town), walking distance to all main attractions, excellent public transport links. Great staff (who speak good English). Reasonable mini-bar prices (porto isn't cheap!)
