Liked: pèdro is a good host. its more like a shared apartment than a hostel. the rooms are nice and clean

Liked: this place was like a hotel at hostel prices!!! we had our own private room, and there was hardly anyone else staying in the hostel at all! extremly clean, very helpful staff

Disliked: wasnt the best place to meet people, but was perfect for us who just wanted to relax. the owner was super super helpful, but only actually at the hostel for a short period in the morning, the rest of the day there was no one around.

Liked: This was an amazing place to stay. It's quiet, very clean, beautiful rooms and Pedro the owner is extremely helpful and willing to answer all your questions. Laundry is free and there is free wifi in all the rooms. A block away from trindade metro station. Would recommend to everyone.

Disliked: Everything was great.

Liked: The room was very spacious and comfy. Pedro was enormously helpful, showing us without even having to ask the great spots in Porto, and the precautions to take. It's very easy to feel at home in this large apartment. Very recommended if you're lovers travelling through Porto.

Disliked: Pretty much nothing.

Liked: I felt like I was at home! Owner Pedro was really helpful and informative, I walked past the tourist information office and realised I didn't need to go in as he had given me a map and all the information I needed. His email with recommendations of bars and cafes was spot on... I love to eat and drink in charming places. Well-equipped kitchen, free use of washing machine, cool furniture and right near a metro station (and not so far to walk most places anyway). One of the best places I've stayed at.

Liked: The room was big.

Disliked: The owner sent a lot of e-mails beforehand (almost too many), but when we were actually there, he was pretty difficult to get in touch with. It took us awhile to find the place, and when we did get there, we had to wait for him to return because he had been called away. We wanted to check out and made every effort to contact him via the methods he suggested (multiple texting, phoning, and knocking on his door to get hold of him). After waiting around an hour, we left and sent him a text saying we would return at a specific time later in the afternoon. He replied a few hours later saying it was "no problem." However, when we came back, we waited another half hour, and he never showed. Later, after we had left town, he called asking about the money (which we did not want to leave laying out in the open lest it get lost or we be charged via credit card) and blamed it on us saying we wanted a late check out. We ended up having to bring him the money again when we came back through Porto several days later. The place was nice, but more hassle than it was worth. The last thing you want to do on vacation is wait around in the hostel for someone who obviously doesn't care enough about running the place to get paid.

Liked: This place is as if it were your own home. Padro is such an awesome guy and so willing to help. It is as it describes, its an apartment that he has extra rooms in and you stay there so it feels as though the other guest are your flatmates. There is a wonderful, homey feel to it.

Disliked: The place is not the cleanest places I've stayed at but its where it matters (trash is taken out every day, and bathroom is clean).

Liked: Everithing was good! Price, athmospere, location, towels and sheets included, rooms are clean, new bathroom stuff and good kitchen (maby small for somebody just for 4 peoples in one time possible). It's really comfortable to take double Private with your girlfriend. It's like in hotel. Reccomend to everybody!

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: It was very cosy room in appartment. Despite shared facilities, everything is clean. The staff is very helpful.

Disliked: The walls are very thin and if neighbours are loud it could be difficult to sleep. But we were lucky.

Liked: Free washing machine and dryer, complete kitchen, shared bathrooms cleaned really thoroughly daily, and an absolute bargain for the price. Pedro was really helpful. Location was great, close to shops and within walking distance to public transport/old city centre.

Disliked: wifi was very unreliable, but considering the price and facilities offered I wouldn't complain about anything!!

Liked: Very close to two metros and downtown is a short walk through a nice area. This is literally a flat with several rooms so it feels like being at home. I'd describe it as almost like a couch surfing experience as it felt like I was crashing at someones pad. Pedro (owner) is super friendly and helpful and is happy to sit about with you for a coffee or glass of wine. Full kitchen facilities but you'll have to bring your own knife.

Disliked: As this was a hallway with several rooms, the doors were rather old and didn't do much for keeping out sound. Therefore, it sometimes felt awkward coming in late at night or leaving early as other were probably woken up from foot steps etc. Also, bathroom noises can be heard throughout hall and kitchen... if you get my meaning. However, great place to meet people and relax anf if you haven't got qualms with privacy this is good for you.

Liked: Although I was early there were no lights on, I thought I was in the wrong place to begin with! Staff at the friendly cafe across the road reassured me it was correct and the owner appeared! He, his friends and a long term stayed were all extremely helpful and kind!

Disliked: The traffic was difficult to get accustomed to, nothing that ear plugs cant fix! Could do with curtains maybe in bedroom, help with the wind coming through.

Liked: The guy who runs the place was very helpful and friendly. We didn't stay at the booked adress but were moved into an apartment which is nearby. It was very cute and we were alone which was on one hand great. It's very clean and has a great kitchen. Location is I guess ok.

Disliked: Since we were alone it was kinda spooky, too quiet and dark.
