Liked: - Really nice and cosy decoration - Good standard of facilities; kitchen (nicest I've seen so far at a hostel and very tidy organized!), bathrooms e.t.c. - A big terrace with a beautiful bar, unfortunately not that good weather to enjoy it - Good service, if you ask for help they will try to assist you - You can notice that the owners/staff have have put some soul into the details, it makes it more personal

Disliked: - Staff not that approaching and and social as they come across in the description, but very friendly and helpful if you approach them yourself

Liked: Very good atmosphere, always people to meet and to share a meal with. Very helpful staff, nice living room, lovely garden and good location, close to one of the main streets of Porto and to the subway. Clean and tidy.

Disliked: Not enough bathrooms and toilets...you often have to wait a little bit.

Liked: It's in the city center, the place is very nice, and there is a little garden with a Bar where you can drink beer, sangria or just relax sitting in the big pillows or the hamaca.

Disliked: They don't have private rooms.

Liked: The yard was nice - free internet as well.

Disliked: There was a huge lack of communication with staff and guests. They advertise to have Skype and international calls - this is not true.

Liked: The garden is lovely.

Disliked: The staff did not really promote a meet and greet type of atmosphere as you get in other hostels. They were not particularly inclusive or friendly.

Liked: The location and cleanliness.

Disliked: The staff told us they were overbooked (without an apology of any kind) and assigned us another place to stay for the night which turned out be a dive. We were not happy about the situation. We did return the following night for a two night stay which we enjoyed.

Liked: The hostel was relatively cheap and the location was also relatively perfect. Apart from a steep incline, the location of the hostel was near the center of Porto. Although being closer to the beach would have been ideal, this worked well to our interests.

Disliked: The cleanliness factor was questionable, in reference particularly to the bedding provided and the place in general. It was apparent that cockroaches and mice infested the hostel. Flies swarmed every room in small clusters. The management was minimally helpful, and in some cases, rude to another member of my party. The service really depended on which individual we approached.

Liked: It is a bit a climb to the hostel and not in the historical center, but not too far eigther and next to a big shopping street. My room ( of six) was spatious, with own bathroom and toilet. I very much appreciated the nice terras whith tables and trees. I don't know if the staff organizes activities, but they were friendly and so for me it was allright. Because I cannot compare with other hostels, I dare not say you have to go there, but I would gladly return.

Liked: Iºve stayed in hostels in about thirty different countries in Europe and this is undoubtedly in the top 5. Great location BY METRO from all train-bus stations as well as downtown - bathrooms and rooms are cleaned every morning, free internet works great, and an extensive library in multiple languages anticipates the needs of the typical backpacker. If youºre going to Porto, stay here.
