Liked: As better rooms became available, we could change rooms for the same price.

Disliked: As we discussed the possible room change, the manager failed to mention that this could only happen in the morning and we need to gather our stuff in the reception for the day and only get the new room in the afternoon. Later the receptionist made this into our fault, and pointed that out several times. It's always the customers fault, at least with her. Other staff was very nice.

Liked: Amazing view from the room. Location is more than great. Everything was satisfying. Staff was very helpful.

Disliked: The hole on my sheet -a cigarette burn.

Liked: The great location

Disliked: The flies that flew into the room if you leave your window open. The cleaning service that moved items in my room and threw out things on the table which weren't rubbish.

Liked: It's been a very pleasant experience, especially thanks to two factors: location is as good as it gets, and reception desk staff is extremely helpful. The hostel resides on several floors of an older building, but features an elevator. House entrance is literally steps away from the metro station Aliados, minutes away from São Bento station and a short walk from Dom Luís bridge. Rooms are small but comfortable, some with view of the plaza.

Disliked: Although the hostel is advertised as air-conditioned, the closest thing to an A/C unit in our room was a wall-mounted fan. The triple room is a little low on space, but then again, enough for everything practical. On two nights, we were woken up either by cheering FC Porto fans down at the main street, or a booming fireworks launching platform, although that's hardly the hostel's fault. It only shows that the location's busy-ness should be taken into consideration.

Disliked: Bed was far too soft, lift (elevator) is a little violent (although it works fine).

Liked: Buen hostal, muy bien situado. Esta en el centro. Si vas en coche, imposible aparcar, mejor dejarlo en el parking.El personal es muy amable y eficaz.

Disliked: Internet es muy caro, pero tienen wifi.

Liked: It is right in the city centre. The price is good, so you get value for the money. The rooms are clean and spacious. Bathrooms in very good conditions.

Disliked: There is a flight of stairs that would be difficult to climb with a big suitcase. The lift only takes 2 people at a time and doesn't look safe. No particular dislike, except for the fact that there is no breakfast included in the price (some hostels offer breakfast for the same price).

Liked: Easy to find, close to metro station, view over the square, comfortable bed, very clean, staff speak English and were welcoming. TV in common room and internet available. Would stay here again.

Disliked: My room didnt have airconditioning even though this is promoted so if you need it, make sure you ask for it. Room was also near reception, therefore not the quietest.

Liked: Should be rated as a hotel, not a hostel. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy. Would definitely stay there again.

Disliked: The only dislike would be that it´s not really a place to meet people. There are no common areas so if you´re part of a group, great place to stay. If you´re on your own looking for friends, try a different place.
