Liked: Very close to the beach and town centre, lovely staff were really helpful, felt completely at home.

Liked: I like the discounts associated with the Hostel, e.g. Surf Lessons, Bike Hire Etc. The stuff aren't actually at the Hostel so it's more like an apartment (ps you have to go to the surf camp first, then they will take you to the Hostel). The owner of the place took us to the seafood festival and it was really good. He drove us there and everything. I would recommend this place for couples (ask for the double bed on the top floor, it has amazing views), but it wasn't a place were you could meet a lot of new people, apart from that it was Amazing!

Liked: VALUE FOR MONEY! The owner is a very nice person and help you with everything. Nice atmosphere and good location for surfing. If you can, ask for the private room at the top..it s amazing :)

Liked: Nice and friendly staff! Clean and good atmosphere in the hostel.

Disliked: Our Room was clean and modern but very small and there was no window! So it was getting very hot during the night and you had to turn the fan on all night. The bed was very small two, more like an single bed for two peoples.

Liked: it had a kitchen to use and wireless internet access

Disliked: it had a stale smell all the time..although there was a woman who seemed to clean endlessly what she was cleaning with was so dirty that it made no difference...the bed linens where awful, sheets old and there was a fur blanket thing on the beds. they gave you towels but they were old and rank...

Liked: the owners are very smiling and nice people. The place is great, clean and personalized. the kitchen is full of all supplies. Very positive!

Liked: Good location right on the surf beach. It was a great atmosphere and really easy to meet people. Its more of an apartment than a hostel and had good clean facilities e.g. bathrooms, kitchen, tv, surfboard hire etc. Staff were really helpful and picked us up from the tourist office as it was hard to find. Overall would definitely recommend staying here!

Disliked: A bit hard to find but they will pick you up or give you directions if you ring them when you arrive in Peniche!

Liked: It is a house you shared with other guests, nearby the beach. Walking distance to city centre, Baleal and bus station. Recommended to know the exact direction to reach to peniche house or contact the staff. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. The best of staying there was gathering with people from around the world, the location and facilities.

Disliked: It was hard for me to find the beach house, they should draw a map of how to reach there when the confirmation of the reservation is reserved, I was first lost in the city centre but once I called the beach house they were very helpfull to direct me to the right place.

Liked: semi decent location, yet still misleading, was NOT 30 meters from the beach.

Disliked: The owner is a scam artist that put us in an attic of some random portugese family and forced us to pay the same rate as he claimed that the attic was a limb of the Beach House. Terrible atmosphere; felt like i was staying in a house that the owner had recently died... No other guests, a gas leak in the kitchen and a doublebed, that was in reality just a single bed with a trundle bed placed beside it. DON'T STAY HERE, completely ruined my trip to Peniche.

Liked: It is very good located, and the owner was so nice with us. The only bad thing it´s that it is a bit difficult to find at the beginning, the location it´s not very good explained at the web page. For the rest, it was all perfect.

Liked: Great place for surfing and meeting people. Most peole stay for a week and take surf courses, so you have good chances to make new friends. You are luck if you get the room over the living room. It's huge and it has a great view. You can see the ocean every morning!!

Liked: our room (#6) was incredible! we started off in a room downstairs that was small, noisy, and hot. we asked to be changed to room 6, which is enormous, with a view of the ocean. the apartment itself is very nice. there is a fully stocked kitchen and a supermarket down the street, so you can save money by cooking your own dinner. the lounge area is also very nice. both the kitchen and the living room are great spots to hang out and meet the other people in the house. my one complaint is that it is impossible to find this place! there is no sign on the building and there is no address given in the email (just the street name). take my advice: go to the peniche kite & surf center (as you are walking down cima beach, take the second set of wooden stairs--the surf center is right there) to look for the owner. or go to the information center (across the street from intermarche) and ask them for help finding the building. you won't find it otherwise.
