Great staff! Great Sunday night Sangria parties! Awesome rooms and facilities. Try to get a room in the apartment up the road a bit. Best accomodation/hostel we've had in our last six months of travelling!

Every one was extremely helpful, friendly. The location was perfect and it set the bar high for future hostels!

It doesnt feel like a hostel, more like a home. It's a great place to meet people if you're travelling solo. Loved this place- will definitely be going back!

This was a fabulous hostel! Great location close to the nightlife and a fantastic place to meet people. Staff were really helpful and friendly and the hostel is very comfortable - lovely comfy lounge, good bathrooms. They have a cook who makes the most amazing meals for 5euro's! Highly recommended!

Great Place to meet people and have a drink. They have cocktails available at the bar not just beer. On certian night you can get a Portugal meal (which is HUGE) for 5 euro and it is the boom diggity boom boom! Also walking tours for 8 euro and free pub crawl, really friendly staff. Was there for two nights and it was just an all round good criac.

It was extremely clean with a bathroom for each room of 6 people. The bathrooms were also extremely clean. The rooms were spacious and the staff was friendly and helpful. There was a living room and dining room, with books and games, which fostered a fun, homelike atmosphere. The breakfast was really good (it was not just toast and jam like most hostels).

Wonderful staff, atmosphere, location. Even scrambled eggs for breakfast. Only thing, there could have been more bathrooms.

Fantastic hostel! Perhaps the best I've ever stayed in.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable and more than apt to help. The rooms can feel cramped, but that just adds to the experience.

This was the best of the 15 hostels of my trip through Europe.
20 May 2008
Everything pretty much. Possibly the best hostel ive ever stayed in. Sounds a bit that but it was really good. Free portuguese lesson, affordable home cooked meals by staff if you wanted, really good walking tour. Right next to Barrio Alto for all the bars but still quiet for when you wanted to sleep. Have stayed in all the Oasis hostels (in Sevilla and Granada) and this one is by far the best.

This is the best hostel I've stayed in - and I've been to a lot! The staff are fantastic, and the hostel has everything you need. It feels more like a home than a hostel, there's even 'Portugese mum' who cooks amazing dinners! A great place to meet people as well.

More like a house than a hostel - everything you need. Staff was great, views were awesome, dinners were terrific!

staff, building, terrace, food, drinks, tourist information, facilities, cleanliness, kitchen facilities, living room, internet, books, play room, washing facilities, etc
29 April 2008
Fab place, helpful staff, like a B&B to stay in...a home away from home. However busy and loud place when you want to go to bed at a reasonable hour because of the bar and the fact that they allow large groups to book....would recommend this place but take your earplugs.
