Liked: I liked that the locals would come to the bar at night - it was such a cool place like a big share house. And the meals at night were really lovely and a great way to meet people. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful!!!

Disliked: The shower did spill onto the floor a little bit and got quite wet once more than a couple of people showered. But that's it!

Liked: had a great time staying here, the staff are fantastic, thank you all for making my birthday one to remember for ever. if you love to party and meet great people you must stay here at the oasis :)

Liked: This was by far the best hostel I've ever stayed in: the staff and other folks were great - helpful and fun, but not inconsiderate partiers - and the place itself was unusually well-thought out and pleasant. I'm not just going back to Lisbon, I'm going back to the Oasis.

Liked: It would be good if they divided the rooms between men and women. It's strange being the only female in a 'male' dorm. I slept with a knife under my pillow! I was a little apprehensive because of this. The receptionist was unaawre of my booking via hostel bookers - little unorganised - but friendly in all. The cleanliness is good. THERE IS CHEAPER ACCOCOMATION IN LISBON FOR A FRACTION OF THE PRICE - YOU DON'T HAVE TO SHARE AND IT IS CLEAN AND LOCAL???!!!!!Fast internet access, free phone.

Disliked: The staff were a little strange, there's are no facilties to put you luggage other than in the room itself.

Liked: I loved the fact that every night they offer a "thematic" dinner for 5€, so you have the option of eating at the hostel. The place is very modern and the beds are really good. The atmosphere is very nice and it's close to the bars and clubs. It's a great place to meet people and go out at night.

Disliked: There is just ONE bathroom inside the room for about 14 people! That's very bad because you have to wait the others and worry if there is somebody waiting for you while you are taking a shower. This bathroom was really dirty and hadn't been cleaned while I stayed at the hostel (for 2 days). I expected a little more because it's one of the most famous and expensives hostels in Lisbon. I stayed in another place (Black&White) for 10€ where the breakfast, the cleanliness and the bathrooms where MUCH BETTER!!

Liked: Great location, close to the bars of Bario Alto and also very close to a great panoramic view of the city. Very friendly and helpful staff, good food in the evening, outside bar really nice and easy to make new friends over dinner and after-dinner drinks, etc. Pickup point for the "Wehatetourism" tours, which I would definitely recommend also. Strikes the right balance between being fun and being over the top "party central".

Disliked: Nothing really. The dorm room I was in was quite small, but it made up for this with a super-large bathroom and good communal areas.

Liked: Of all the hostels I visited in my stay in europe, this was my favorite. I loved the dining facility right there, still paying too little and eating very well. The accommodations were clean and beautiful, the place is safe and the people very kind and nice!

Liked: The best hostel I've ever stayed in (and I've stayed in a lot!). Staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are large, very clean and the bathrooms are great! Also, it's air-conitioned! The dinner each night is always tasty and only 5 euros! Ramiro's cooking rocks! Hostel is very social and great for meeting people ~I was travelling alone and was never without someone to chat to. Patio and bar out the back makes for great fun at night before heading out with your new friends! The tours they offer are also really good and you get value for money. 100% recommend to anyone, I'll be going back for sure! Didn't want to leave and met quite a few people who actually didn't leave and had been there for week as they love it too much - Lisbon and this hostel are the best!

Liked: Eventhough we had to leave latter that night once we had already checked out they still let us take a shower and keep our bags there all day until we took our late train to madrid.

Liked: Th staff and other guests are incredibly friendly and the house itself is very clean and nice. It is very easy to feel at home.

Disliked: It was a bit hard to get to and a bit of a walk, especially when itºs hot and you have a large bag.

Liked: I thought that the oasis backpackers staff were very welcoming and helpful, i enjoyed the home cooked meals put on in the hostel each nite and the enviroment was relaxed and fun Would reccomend this property to anyone wanting to stay in Lisboa PS The "We Hate Tourism Tours" rocked as well

Disliked: Vending machine would be an added benefit but not required

Liked: This hostel was my first and it was a great experience. The staff and other backpackers were great and there were a lot of opportunities to meet others while traveling alone. The dorm room and bathrooms were really clean.

Disliked: The only bad thing was the viewpoint near the hostel where there were some homeless and/or drug dealers loitering, but they were avoidable. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend Oasis.
