Liked: Its location (even not so close to the metro stop but still in the center of touristic sites), clear direction, friendly and helpful staff and its atmosphere (guest have chance to meet and interact w/ other guest). I recommend this hostel.

Disliked: its location which not really close to the metro stop, probably it would take around 15-30' walk (depend on the speed).

Liked: The atmosphere was really chilled, facilities were great, place was clean, free drink on arrival, free scrambled eggs for breakfast!! What more could you ask for?

Liked: Great accommodations and opportunities to meet other travelers, whether at meals, chilling in the lounge, or at the bar. Also, once the door to your room is closed, it is not noisy and easy to sleep. The staff was also very friendly and helpful when I had questions about places to go in Lisbon. I would definitely recommend it and stay here again.

Disliked: The only small issue was that there was only one restroom per floor, so sometimes you had to wait to use it. But once it, it was a delight.

Liked: free internet, free breakfast, nice tidy rooms, clean bathrooms, cheap-5-euro-dinners, very nice cozy athmosphere, super helpful staff, very cheap and good drinks at the hostel-own-bar, a really nice place to meet some great like-minded-people, after the hostel-bar closes everybody from the hostel(including the staff) goes out together, staff gives you great tips and is really helpful and free welcome drink! Great location! Perfect stay in Lisbon!!

Disliked: a little noisy if you are in one of the rooms directly over the bar, but only until 1 at night or so... but you will be up anyway in this great location and city, I promise!

Liked: The atmosphere was great as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with smiles and warm welcome. I arrived early in the morning before check-in and I was able to relax in the hostel have breakfast and use the internet! They have a free drink on arrival and the breakfast are yummy! This place was a fantastic place to stay :)

Disliked: The only downside was they didnt have lock cupboards for your packs in the 12 bed dorm only a safety deposit box.

Liked: Incredible. I was made to feel welcome by the staff, the rooms were clean and well kept. Great facilities and a perfect place to meet people or just kick back and relax by yourself. The location is very very good, only a 3 minute walk to a main street leading to central Lisbon and the coast. Easy to find from the station/airport. It is also very secure, the safes are great and are nicely located within the rooms. There is no way of entering the rooms without a keycard. I would say that my fantastic experience in Lisbon was down to the Hostel and the people I met there. There is the option to eat an evening meal there for €5 and the free breakfast is a good spread. You can buy water from behind the main desk if you are stuck also. I had no problems with the free wifi or with the computers that they provided. The linen was regularly changed too. The bar opens at 6 and closes at 12 (as of August 2011) and serves all kinds of drinks and soft drinks. There is a DJ too. I have been inside other hostels in Lisbon during my stay and can safely say that this was the best one on several levels.

Disliked: Honestly, nothing.

Liked: The scrambled eggs for breakfast! So good. The bar on the terrace. Great place to meet people. The €5 dinners! :o) We also had the top room in the adjacent building which as like an apartment with a kitchen, 2 separate room, 4 beds & 6 beds. Lots of room & great view.

Disliked: Not much really. If anything, stuffy in the room at night. Sleep with window open. Maybe the fact that I was in the 4 bed room and the 6 people in the other room had to walk through our room to use the bathroom. No big deal to me though. Would definately stay again :o)

Liked: It is clean, I am a clean freak so this was fabulous for me. It is also bang in the centre of Lisbon well the bits I pike of the city. The staff were very helpful too.

Disliked: Its bunk beds are difficult to get out off, that's the only gripe I could find.

Liked: I've been staying at hostels all over Europe this summer, and this place is by far the best value of any I've ever visited! Clean, CHEAP, nice, fun, great breakfast, quiet, free drink...fantastic.

Liked: Great location, 1 metro stop from train stations which take you on day trips to Cascais or Sintra. Booked a 12 bed 'Summer Sale' dorm room and ended up in a 4 bed dorm, had kitchen in our separate apartment almost to ourselves

Disliked: Internet cut out for most of the stay we were there which was frustrating as we were needing to book things, staff at least made an effort to get it fixed but still frustrating. The 12 bed dorm was separated into 3 rooms of 4 dorms BUT, toilet was in our dorm, so every one was in and out throughout the nights, hard to get a good sleep

Liked: Really good atmosphere, felt like home which was nice after having been traveling for 6 weeks already. Great staff, really helpful. One of the best hostels I've stayed at.

Disliked: The staff offered dinner for 5 euro, but if you wanted to make your own dinner, you were not allowed into the kitchen until 10pm because the staff was using it to prepare dinner

Liked: I really liked the outside area at night to meet other travellers and to have pre drinks before going out in the city. My dorm room was in the roof so it was a bit cramped, but I was hardly in there so it wasn\t a problem. The dinners each night is great if you can't/don't want to cook, however there is a food market 5 mins walk away so you can cook your own fresh meals if preferred. Would have loved to stay more than 5 nights in this backpackers but due to a tight budget, I had to move to a cheaper backpackers.

Disliked: Often the bathroom floor was wet .... but really that is not a big issue. Everything was really great here. Good value for money.

Liked: This place was great! The backyard area was a wonderful place to hang out and drink a pitcher of sangria. The dinners every night were a great place to meet people too.

Disliked: In the middle of the night, some drunk guy who wasn't staying in the hostel burst into our room to find some girl that he had met earlier. Not sure how he got in.

Liked: If you're into partying and meeting people, this is the place to do it. The outdoor garden fills up in the evenings, with people drinking at the bar, listening to the DJ, and making plans for the night. I stayed up until the sunrise on a few nights to watch the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and people were still out and about. Also, great location right next to Bairro Alto which is basically a massive street party. Farther from other attractions, but it's easier to walk in the day than intoxicated late at night.

Disliked: I got moved into a room that wasn't in the same building as the common room and bar. The kitchen wasn't fully equipped, and there were no chairs or tables to eat a meal at. Also, the majority of the electricity sockets weren't working. If you want quiet and waking up early, don't choose this hostel! Breakfast is also very late at 9:00am.

Liked: the location is great! very close to barrio alto, a metro, many restaurants that aren't very expensive, its perfect! the atmoshpere was really fun

Disliked: we had a room for 8 with a private kitchen, but the kitchen didn't have anything, not even forks or plates. if they're going to advertise the kithen as part of the room, they should at least make it usable.

Liked: It was in a good location and was really quirky and different with friendly staff, the bar was a really good spot and the walking tour it advertises was really good!

Disliked: nights were really hot and lots of little things had problems like the internet but overall was pretty good!

Liked: We arrived at 7am and the staff were really accommodating towards us, letting us stay on the couch until check-in time. The food is amazing - eggs for breakfast and absolutely delicious dinners cooked by various members of staff. The location of the hostel is fantastic - right in the middle of everything, a 5-10 minute walk from the Santa Justa elevator area.

Disliked: It was quite cold at night and the bar closes early!
