There was so much to like. The hostel itself maybe a little rough on the surface, but you will not regret it at all. The location was awesome, on a busy walking street that had a fruit stand, tobbaco shop, stores, and 1/2 dozens eating spots 10 yeards from the door. The prices in Portugal probably beat any in western europe and two can eat well for 15 euro and it was only 3.85 euro for any all day transit ticket for buses, trains, and the metro...what a deal! Jeny and her brother Juma (Hostel owners) were so nice and friendly. I must say if you are looking for the Ritz or Hilton, this ain't it, but if you see your vacation as the sights, people, food and culture this place is it. Lisbon is truly a beautiful place and the people are some of the most friendly in Europe. Rent a car for a day trip and see the coastal and off the beaten path places and you will have a vacation you'll remember for a life time. The hostel was good, rough, but GOOD!

The location is the best thing about this hostel. It is basically a number of rooms available in someone's large home and a communal bathroom for all the people staying in the rooms.

Les proprios sont super sympa (c'est plutôt un appart qu'un hotel).
Et l'emplacement de l'hôtel est parfais.
Mais je ne conseil pas cette adresse : on a eu froid dans la chambre : obligé de dormir avec nos puls :-(
Pas de chauffage (cela ne sera pas de problème l'été ) mais en décembre c'en est un.
Les chambres sont très mal isolées (isolation sonore) à chaque fois que quelqu'un rentre dans l'hôtel (l'appart) on a l'impression qu'il rentre dans la chambre. nos voisins nous réveille à chaque fois qu'ils rentrent ou sortent ou bougent.
Les chambre sont vraiment petites, et on peut trouver mieux pour le même prix.

It's very small and cosy. The staff exists of a brother and sister and they are very nice. The location is perfect, in the middle of the center. The state of the building is a bit dated.

The staff is very friendly and gives good tipps to first time visitors. The hoselt can easily be reached by bus and there is a taxi station only 1 minute away. You can get a taxi during the entire day without problems. The location being in the city center is save.
