staff were relaxed, friendly and amazingly helpful, found me accomodation at other hostels in Lisboa and Porto when they were full..clean and cleaned daily, free internet, good cheap wine available if you get in too late for anything to be open..was fun but tis a little smaller than some of the others so a chilled chatty vibe not a full raging party!!

Really gorgeous building, so many beautiful places nearby, easy walking distance to the Bairro Alto, downtown, and Alfama.

The hostel has an unique character. It's nicely deorated and creates a comfortable and relax environment. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hostel also organises dinner at reasonable price (once a week?) to facilitate the travellers to meet others. I highly recommend it to anyone who travels to Lisbon.

As in the checkpoints above, my friends and I were very happy of everything the hostel provided us with. There are even some perks they don't advertise but were of paramount utility: e.g. a free wireless internet connection. If I may add something, it is what I'd call the "low architectural impact" of the hostel...it's located in a small alley between downtown and the Bairro Alto, and you wouldn't find it without knowing the exact address, as it looks like a normal house: this detail makes you feel you're really living in the heart of Lisbon. (Adding up to that, the hostel is pretty popular among backpackers: do make sure you're booking on time, or you won't find a place. In case you changed your travel plans while you're already there, anyway, the managers will make every effort to find you another place to stay. We decided to stay longer and, the hostel being booked out, they found us a place in another hostel nearby.)

The warm hospitality, professionalism and customer friendly/can do attitudes shown by Eduardo, Bruno and staff were incredible. The cleanliness of the facilities, fresh breakfast food, free use of pc/wireless internet access, the organization of providing bed space for all guests, the location, the helpfulness of the hosts/staff and there is more that I am not mentioning. My observation was that every guest that I talked to was absolutely overjoyed to have stayed at the Lisbon Poets Hostel. On a scale of 5 and 5 being the TOP; I would rate this fine hostel in the heart of Lisbon as a "HIgh 5". Many thanks for all you have done to accommodate me and others. i look forward to my next stay at your remarkable hostel. All the best until then. I will strongly reccommend your hostel to others. BUt not when i want to stay there. Hehehe. Just joking. =) Sincerely, Aaron Burr, Heidelberg Germany, Tele: 0049 162 794 1432
