Liked: Great location for partying as its right in the middle of the Bario Alto. If you dont want to party though, bring earplugs because the noise from the street is quite loud. Nice common room/loung.

Disliked: The cleanliness was not the best. My sister and I were sneezing, weezing, and rubbing our eyes out due to our alergires to dust mites, mildew and other baterias caused by poor housekeeping.

Liked: I liked the location with balconies on the rooms where you could watch people walking around. The location is beautiful and you are close to a lot of great bars, restaurants and shops.

Disliked: I disliked the breakfast, it was not very healthy or hearty at all. Just a lot of white bread with sugar and milk. No hot coffee you had to boil water on the stove.

Liked: It was ideally located and it was very easy to meet other travellers there. It was also very laidback and respected their guests.

Disliked: Although leaving luggage seemed safe enough, there was not much safety for our stuff in the rooms. But then again, I never asked about any solutions for storing valuables, - maybe they have somewhere safte to put it.

Liked: The location was really great! Nice, clean rooms and a big kitchen and a big livingroom. Perfect for backpackers and friends on holliday.

Disliked: The staff was really bad at english.

Liked: Fingerprint recognition to get into the building!! Incredibly cool... :) Really nice rooms, comfy beds, large common room, well equipped kitchen, and a good friendly crowd- mainly European it seemed. Really good location DURING THE DAY.

Disliked: At night the quiet streets turned into an extremely noisy pool of drunkenness, that continued until the early hours. Fine if you are one of the party-goers, not so great when you could really do with an early night. Saying that, I found out afterwards that the night I was there was Lisbon's Gay Pride so it was probably a bit more wild than a standard Bairro Alto night.

Liked: ıt ıs ın a great locatıon ıf you lıke the party scene ıt ıs located on a street full of bars so there ıs always a great atmosphere

Liked: Loved Lisbon Amazing! Staff was helpful in getting us a cab for our early flight. They also gave us good information on what to do in town. They have a whole lounge area and two computers (although the one was having internet connection problems). I also really enjoyed the toast for breakfast. The hostel is very safe - it has a thumbprint scanner as a key - so cool! Great location if you plan on going out at night, since there are plenty of bars.

Disliked: My only complaint is that at a hostel this nice there really should be soap dispensers in the bathroom. Other than that, it was a great hostel!

Liked: Cheap and central.

Disliked: People from diferent room must across the dorm to reach they room! The manager, a brasilian girl, collected guest's digital prints for an automatic open door system, wich worked just one day! She did copies of all passports and ID's that hold in the computer, at entrance. There's a huge breach of security elementar rules as guests can be aloud to use this computer, the only one from the hostel. Very often is no one at entrance and the computer is on there. One day I realised that a colombian girl got the keys' entrance, as she did open the main door for me. It as quit suprising as guest does not get any key (except the private looker key). On the morning I realised that someone was selleping with the colombian girl. I asked the bresilian manager if she knew about it (all bags and bellongs from travelers were on the room, sometimes not looked) and later I was told that all was fine. I suspect the bresilian manager did not get a copy of the ID of this "gost" guest, a local (as I was told by the colombian girl) that she had meet at bar...

Liked: It's right in the party area. I would say this is only for people who want to go out at night.

Disliked: I ended up staying only 2 nights instead of 5. The beds were really unconfortable. I could feel the springs and that's not gonna work for 5 nights, especially since Lisbon is known for its quality hostel. The clerk was nice enough to refund me the nights I cancelled.

Liked: The location is excellent..very close to the city center and in a street full of smart shops and charming places where to spend Lisbon evenings and nights!! From there you can reach the most important parts of the city in a few time even by walking (or if you prefer, by taking bus and trams - the stops are near). The hostel is very coloured and clean..free access to the kitchen and living room! And the price is very convenient!!

Liked: Excellent location, right in the middle of parties and fun places in Bairro Alto. Excellent staff, very willing to help and kind.

Disliked: There should be somebody 24h a day and for instance at 5 am there was nobody.

Liked: I am french, I can talk only about a APRIL/MAY period. This hostel is very nice, very central, old appartement rebuilt, nice decoration, washing machine and iron, quiet enough because of good doble windows and big interior volets (english?).Nice and generous people working there, commercial area, many busesand trams, what else ?? I staid many days, just like "at home", and I'll come back !

Liked: We found this hostel when we were stranded in lisbon beacuse of the Volcano disprution in April 2010 en route home from Africa. We just needed somewhere to stay until we knew how to get home.The Hostel has been great! It is clean calm and very friendly. The hostel only has about 10 people staying at the moment so it is not a true representation of what it must be like in high season but it has been such a relief to have a lovely calm base to call home for the next few days. The Kitchen is wonderfully spacious as is the lounge with massive TV and woodern floors. We are in a 4-bed dorm with lock which is perfect. Bathrooms are a little odd in their configuration but very very clean and tidy.Great area, maybe a little noisy as you face onto a popular streets acessing the bars and restuarnts but for the money you cannot go wrong.Breakfast has also been included in the price which is basic but an added bonus.
