About Lisbon Calling Hostel

Part of a 250 years old building, in a typical Lisbon house from the 18th century, Lisbon Calling Hostel is where you'll find out how it really feels living as a 'lisboeta'.

We're all about 'fit to size'! Standard is not our thing, so we created a hostel like our own home, where all of you 'big feet' out there can sleep in huge, tailor-made wooden bunk-beds and raised sleeping platforms with views to the church square.

If you are looking for romance and something exclusive or deluxe, stay in the themed double rooms, which are in a separate section of the building and almost akin to the experience of having your own apartment in Lisbon.

The kitchen areas are social spaces where you can use the fridge, cook lunch or dinner for no extra costs. Feels like you are visiting a friends or relatives home.

The free wi-fi is excellent and the super-staff has lots of great tips to make the most of your stay.

Brilliantly located in the heart of Old Lisbon, we are five minutes walking distance for night life at Cais do Sodré or Bairro Alto and day trips around Bica, miradouro de Sta. Catarina (known as Adamastor), Chiado and Alfama - turns it into a great place to be in Lisbon.

Just ask the crew what to do!

Accommodation Information

Blue With a View - 4 persons dorm with a beautiful platform (on the top there's space for two to sleep together) and two single beds

The Nest - 4 person dorm with 2 bunks. It's annexed to the room Frescos - separated by a glass door with curtains, this makes it a cosy & private space, although with no window it’s a great nights sleep in an air of antiquity with painted fresco walls and blue tiles as old as the house.

Platform One - 6 person dorm, with a platform instead of bunks. 3 single beds and 3 places on the top.

Frescos - 10 person dorm with 5 bunks. Lots of space for all and two big windows facing the church square.

Bed Sheets and linen are provided and all beds have security lockers and reading lights

Charmingly furnished with vintage retro pieces. The rooms is huge with tall ceilings and 2 large windows that offer great panoramic views of the square below and the beautiful church of Sao Paulo.
shared bathroom

The crazy twenties inspire this large room with warm lights and a cabaret feeling.
shared bathroom

Private Bathroom - A large and quiet room in a cool part of the house with stylish retro furniture. Bright during the day and wonderfully calm at night. Time travel is possible.

Decorated with a more minimal feline approach staying in Lisbon with views to Church Square and River has never been more perfect.
