Overview
We're a small, quiet and relaxed hostel, with a cosy atmosphere. Centrally located, both for daylight sightseeing and nightlife bohemia. The rooms have some really cool sleeping platforms and bunk beds. Comfort was in our minds when we refurbished the whole place. All custom made.
Run by a group of friends, travellers, open minded people who like to share their positive attitude on life. We like the old, the new and we welcome everyone!
Part of a 250-year-old building, in a typical Lisbon house from the 18th century, Lisbon Calling Hostel is where you'll find out how it really feels living as a "Lisboeta".
We're all about "fit to size"! Standard is not our thing, so we created a hostel like our own home, where all of you "big feet" out-there can sleep in huge, tailor-made wooden bunk-beds and raised sleeping platforms with views to the church square.
Located in the heart of Old Lisbon, we are five minutes walking distance from the best sunset Lisbon has to offer (Miradouro de Sta. Catarina locally known as Adamastor), best Bacalhau (dried cod) and glass of wine you've ever tasted in Bairro Alto, or just a stroll through Chiado and Baixa high street shops and stores. Late night and after-hours dancing is right around the corner in Cais do Sodré. Just ask the crew what to do!
To prepare you for the 7 hills of Lisbon, breakfast is included in the overnight stay. Wireless internet connection is free of charge, we supply all bed linen and we have the best hot showers in the World!
- Secure storage (individual lockers, locks & keys)
- All day do-it-yourself coffee and tea (coffee machine and kettle)
- Buffet breakfast
- Wireless internet connection
- Maps and local insight
- Satellite TV and films (microwave your own popcorn)
- Morning smile and a friendly attitude
Accommodation Information
Blue With a View - 4 persons dorm with a beautiful platform (on the top there's space for two to sleep together) and two single beds
The Nest - 4 person dorm with 2 bunks. It's annexed to the room Frescos - separated by a glass door with curtains, this makes it a cosy & private space, although with no window it’s a great nights sleep in an air of antiquity with painted fresco walls and blue tiles as old as the house.
Platform One - 6 person dorm, with a platform instead of bunks. 3 single beds and 3 places on the top.
Frescos - 10 person dorm with 5 bunks. Lots of space for all and two big windows facing the church square.
Bed Sheets and linen are provided and all beds have security lockers and reading lights
