Liked: We had a room facing the square with fantastic views and a balcony.

Disliked: Only having to walk up 4 flights of stairs each time to get to the hotel within the building.

Liked: The location is superb. And we also liked the people there, some of them could hardly speak English, but they were so authentic. Such people you'll never find in any hotel. And it's very clean there. They change bed-linen every day.

Disliked: It's noisy there.

Liked: the rooms were spacious, with your own sink and shower

Disliked: the hosts spoke very little english so it was hard to comunicate with them. there was also no kitchen facilities for guests to use.

Liked: The hotel is perfectly located and cheap. You can stay in the room till midday and then leave your luggage if you still want to visit the city before going to the airport.

Disliked: Even if the hotel is clean the rooms are small and everything is so outdated, furniture, baths, that it gives the impression of dusty and not so clean. Although the reception is 24h everytime you leave the hotel you have to leave the key and then ring the door to get to the hotel. We were placed in the room next to entrance and believe me it's very noisy and wakes you up everytime somebody want to enter the hotel. And when you enter you are "scanned" by the staff- I would prefer to be able to leave and come in freely. Also be careful cause beds are rather short, if you measure more then 170 cm then you will have some problems sleeping. Summarizing, if you do not mind about being bothered every time you want to enter the hotel, if you sleep well even if it's noisy and the hotel is really not essential place for you during your stay, the Imperial is not such a bad choice. It's cheap, very well located and rather clean.

Liked: The location of the hostel was one of the best of Lisboa. Sea, old city and transports are quiet easy to reach

Disliked: Maybe the wifi network was sometimes not really good but it was not really a big deal.

Liked: Location was excellent.

Disliked: The place was pretty grubby and old even though I am sure they were trying to clean it. One of the shared bathrooms had the water at the tap turned off so you could flush the toilet but not wash your hands.

Liked: Great Location, nice staff and is cheap.

Disliked: This hostel is unfortunately very run down and is in dire need of a complete restoration. The Bedroom was small and poorly furnished, wifi access was poor in bedroom, & dirty towels were provided. The floors were really dirty. Also the bed was a double bed but it was very small and barely fit two people. Also the hostel is on the fourth floor and the stairs are really deadly to walk up and down. Despite the central location being a positive, if your a light sleeper you won't find a good night sleep here. The street below is very noisy.

Liked: The women were wonderful and extremely accommodating. They were friendly and helpful. Overall this place was great, just one thing it's called the Pensao Imperial. If you call it the AWA hostel no one will know what you're talking about, It's in the same building as the money exchange but on the fourth floor.. Theres really no sign for it out front. That was the only thing that gave us a problem, was finding it. Great place for the value.

Liked: Location.

Disliked: Too expensive for what they offer. The rooms are freezing. For the price they charge, they should provide breakfast. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, however.

Liked: the location was very comfortable. the metro station at zero distance and the bus from the airport stopped just in front of the hostel.

Disliked: name not clear. the sign said "residentia imperial" or something similar.

Liked: Very good place! The ladies are very friendly and nice with everybody! Despite of being an old building, it's very clean and organized!!!! Recommended to all!
