Liked: Great atmosphere (all thanks to Pedro and other travellers ;)), me and my friends really enjoyed our stay there. And location as far as I'm concerned is really nice with a nice view point just nearby :)

Disliked: Maybe just breakfast was quite little and there's only one bathroom but the place is small so it's not a big deal :)

Liked: It is a good value for money. Small place and not a lot of people makes it feel like home

Disliked: Breakfast is quite poor and the hostel is a little hard to find.

Liked: The perfect place to stay in Lisbon ! The location is excellent but the most important is that Pedro, the owner, is always here to help you to have really good time in the city ! We have a lot of fun with them and when we'll come back to Portugal, we are sure that we'll visit them !

Liked: I liked the place for it's originality. Pedro did a great job in decorating it. The place is clean, the people there were very sociable.

Liked: Pedro, the owner, is a very nice guy, he makes the environment a lot better and receptive than in other hostel The hostel is small and cosy.

Disliked: Not the cleanliest kitchen (but it is not dirty, it's just messy) and breakfast is not something special.

Liked: The staff were excellent, friendly, very helpful and accomodating. The location was really good, within walking distance to two grocery stores (a few minutes down the road), the train/bus station (maybe 15 minute walk) and Lisbon night life (about 15 minute walk), Johnies Place is also really close to a beautiful look out on the city, amazing sunsets. The hostel itself had a very friendly, comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely love to go back.

Liked: Great place, everyone was right about it not feeling like a hostel. It is more like a home. The people that work there were fantastically nice, so helpful and very relaxed.

Liked: Among many hostel I stayed in Europe, this is the best place ever! It truly feels like home, the lounge, the kitchen, the flexible checkin checkout arragement, and of course the nicest Pedro! The location is great, walking distance from the castle, a viewing point, and the local district Alfama (lots of restaurants targeted at locals instead of tourists), though it's not in city centre, the 15min walk downhill is pleasant, it's perfect for who likes a bit of local feeling ), and you can always take tram28. Just follow the direction on the website you won't miss the place. The place is warm and cosy. Pedro provided helpful guidelines. There's free internet and a homy lounge for talking with new friends. A nice kitchen for cooking, and breakfast is included. The only problem is there's only one bathroom. Anyway, it's no doubt great value for the price!! Highly recommend!!

Liked: The staff Pedro and Joanna were very helpful, and pointed out some nice places in Lisbon that weren't in the guide book! I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Lisbon.

Disliked: A sign on the door would make the place a little easier to find!

Liked: This is a realy cool property. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Travelling Portugal alone and being from Ireland, the staff were up for going out for a drink and they also invited me along for dinner. This was great as it kind of sucks eating on your own. Breakfast was good, the showers were good, everywhere was clean, the smoking area was great, they sell beer. The location is pretty sweet too. It is not based in the most expensive place in Lisbon, thus dining out costs under €10 for a meal and a few beers. All in all, I had a perfect stay at this property.

Liked: This place was so great! It felt like home away from home And Pedro the owner was so nice, fun and helpful. I have already recommended it to friends and would go back in a heartbeat. Great location, very clean, fun but also a place to relax after a long day of roaming the streets of Lisbon. Two thumbs up!! Thanks Pedro!!!

Liked: Nice location in Alfama, zone very popular among travellers. Pedro, the owner, is a very helpful person. He was even waiting for us until 11 pm! Hostel itself is newly refurbished, beds are comfortable. Double room was ok as well as bathroom. Close to tram stop, view point, restaurants and shops. Very safe neighbourhood.

Disliked: Breakfast was somehow basic, just bread and jam but fortunately coffee was unlimited. It's not the cheapest option to stay in Lisbon but for Alfama not so bad.

Disliked: The transport is not perfect convenient, but you can explore the old city town.
