Location is absolutely great. It is in the middle of Alfama, where the real lisbon life is happening. Tourists have to come to Alfama so see it, we actually llived there:). It is so relaxed, but the city center is still nearby. Everything looks like on the photos, just the atmosphere is even better.
The staff of the hostel is very friendly and try to help you in every possible way. We felt so welcome there and leaving was sad;). The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning. We spent a great time there and met a bunch of cool people from all over the world.

As the hostel is new everything is clean and fresh. We really liked the location, although it is very quiet if you are looking for nightlife on your doorstep. The owners are really friendly and make you feel really welcome. We would definitely recommend the hostel and if we return to Lisbon would use the hostel again.

This is by far the best hostel I have stayed at throughout Europe and also happens to be one of the cheapest. The staff are incredibly warm and friendly, immediately making you feel like you're right at home with cousins rather than hostel staff. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about the city and isn't shy to take you out to dinner with him for some rustic portuguese cuisine or even show you the best places for Lisbon's nightlife. The lower maximum capacity of this hostel in comparison to others enables them to provide much higher quality service to all of the guests who choose to stay there. In addition to a breakfast in the morning, you could even take your food outside for an amazing look at the waterfront and the city sprawl. There is never a shortage of conversation to be had in the kitchen in the evening, made up of stragglers from the late night bar sipping on one last caipirinha made by the staff as a nightcap before heading off to some of the most comfortable beds you will find in a hostel. This hostel definitely made my stay in Lisbon the best it possibly could be; and after checking out, the only thing you will regret is not booking for a longer stay.

The staff is extremely friendly and professional. They speak many languages (Spanish, English, German, Italian, French). The price-quality relation is unique. They organise parties at night with delicious sangria or caipirinhas to meet their clients and help them with their travel itinerary in Lisbon or just to have a good time after a day wandering in the streets of Belem or Alfama or Baixa. Impecable cleanliness and superb location in the very heart of the historical neighbourhood of Lisbon. I highly recommend it!!!

Very friendly staff who can offer a lot of knowledge about the city and how to go out. They just organized a nice Sangria and Barbeque party there - so it´s really fun to stay there!

Amasing, I have years of traveling all around Europe, and I have never stayed in such good hostel. From far the BEST. The buiding is full of charm, the interiors are very well designed, full of character and history. It is very well located, near main touristic spots, like Lisbon Castle. The staff was so helpfull and friendly, they made me feel home:) I already miss, waking up. with sun coming inside, and just approch the window and look at the river...Alfama Patio I WILL BE BACK! :)
