The owners, the people staying there, the hostal itself, the location, the atmosphere, the cooking/drink making lessons, all you can drink sangria, and the patio!

Great hostel!! The people are so friendly and the owner of the hostel is so welcoming and even spends time with getting to know the people who are staying in the hostel. This is such a great hostel and has a wonderful and charming atmosphere. The showers are great and the kitchen is nice and new. Everything is clean and well-taken care of.

the staff were very friendly and helpful, even when returning to the hostel in the early hours. The location is also great, being in the most attractive part of the city, just below the castle.

The location is brilliant - right in the centre of the old part of Lisbon. Staff is friendly, helpful and speak several languages, including Russian. After staying there for several days you do feel yourself a part of the family and never want to leave =)

the staff are really impressionated and no worries about security. Even if the first impression of the way to get there isn't very attractive to get there is awesome. The patio looks like the best common area to go for a chat but if it's raining just pop up in the kitchen and find out some backpackers from around the world sipping up their boozes. If u haven't bought any booze yet you can grab one small beer from the fridge and just leave one euro inside the box over there.

Location is absolutely great. It is in the middle of Alfama, where the real lisbon life is happening. Tourists have to come to Alfama so see it, we actually llived there:). It is so relaxed, but the city center is still nearby. Everything looks like on the photos, just the atmosphere is even better.
The staff of the hostel is very friendly and try to help you in every possible way. We felt so welcome there and leaving was sad;). The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning. We spent a great time there and met a bunch of cool people from all over the world.

As the hostel is new everything is clean and fresh. We really liked the location, although it is very quiet if you are looking for nightlife on your doorstep. The owners are really friendly and make you feel really welcome. We would definitely recommend the hostel and if we return to Lisbon would use the hostel again.

This is by far the best hostel I have stayed at throughout Europe and also happens to be one of the cheapest. The staff are incredibly warm and friendly, immediately making you feel like you're right at home with cousins rather than hostel staff. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable about the city and isn't shy to take you out to dinner with him for some rustic portuguese cuisine or even show you the best places for Lisbon's nightlife. The lower maximum capacity of this hostel in comparison to others enables them to provide much higher quality service to all of the guests who choose to stay there. In addition to a breakfast in the morning, you could even take your food outside for an amazing look at the waterfront and the city sprawl. There is never a shortage of conversation to be had in the kitchen in the evening, made up of stragglers from the late night bar sipping on one last caipirinha made by the staff as a nightcap before heading off to some of the most comfortable beds you will find in a hostel. This hostel definitely made my stay in Lisbon the best it possibly could be; and after checking out, the only thing you will regret is not booking for a longer stay.
