Liked: This is a fantastic hostel, I recommend it to anyone considering a visit to Lisbon. The staff are amazing, they really make an effort to get to know you and they helped me out so much with advice. The hostel also puts on an event each night which is great especially if you are travelling alone and want to meet other people. The place is so clean and brilliantly organised. Loved the free scrambled eggs for breakfast cooked by the fantastic ladies- a real treat. Thankyou Travellers House for a wonderful stay- Felicity :-) (Australia)

Liked: Great hostel with events held every night, from pub crawls to wine tasting! Common area was a super good place to meet people, especially when eating piri piri chicken! Staff were super friendly and helpful, especially providing great tips for food (seafood pot and piri piri chicken - do ask them). It's also one of the rare hostels were you get toast and eggs SERVED to you, and there's free flow coffee and tea all day. Location wise also very convenient, near to Rossio station (heading to Sintra), the metro station as well as tram/bus lines that go to the airport and Belem. There's also a bank/cash machine and a tourist information centre right downstairs and lots of shops since the hostel is on one of the major shopping streets.

Disliked: Nothing, though the toilets might feel less awesome than the rest of the hostel. Also, most of the travel books (especially Portugal ones) were not in English - it will be better for non Portuguese readers.

Liked: Very good location, really helpful staff + very good english speakers, big beds, spacious luggage locker + lock for free and last but not least i spotted some nice chicks during hostel"s events

Disliked: I would like more showers and bathrooms, a place to leave our clothes while showering, the rooms are located on the second and third floor, so in case of big luggage it is quite hard..most important: even if the staff was really helpful, they crashed on the free girls, so since they have the advantage of being natives, it is hard to compete..(just joking!!really nice staff, all of them very good english-speakers)

Liked: Excelente hostel. Muito bem localizado, bonito, limpo e animado sem ser barulhento. Fazem sempre algum evento para integrar os hóspedes até, no máximo, meia noite. Depois cada um escolhe seu destino ou segue as dicas deles mas ai, fora do albergue, para não atrapalhar os que ficam. Tem um ótimo catálogo de DVD para ver filme na sala de Tv, trilha sonora no lounge ótima, bom café da manhã... enfim, um lugar gostoso de ficar. Ah, e cada cama tem locker com cofre dentro, uma espécie de bolsinha pendurada na cama para colocar celular, chave, etc antes de dormir e luz individual para leitura.

Disliked: A falta de elevadores é meio desagradável para quem chega com mala pesada...

Liked: Great atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, fun activities being organised, scrambled eggs + toast made for you at breakfast!

Disliked: Nothing, the only thing is that the beds and bathrooms are very old, but it has its charm and it's clean, so what else can you wish for?

Liked: The hostel schedules an event every evening for guest to partake if they choose. The hostel also offers option day trips/tours. The other guests were quite outgoing. The hostel is located in a great location.

Liked: Everything! First of all the people who work there are awesome and always smiling and going out of theyre way to make you feel at home and to have a good time! They have activities almost everyday, i stayed there for 3 nights and the first night we had a wine tasting night with tons of wine at a very reasonable price, next night we had all you can drink beer for 2 euros! a Great way to meet other travellers, this is one of the things i liked most, you get to meet everyone! Then the pub crawl and tours are another good way of having a good look of the nightlife or the day trips or dancing or music strolls. I got home really late one night and gonzalo hooked me up with some toasts, i was starving so that was great! also the day before i left they had a free soup for everyone in the hostel which was just whayt i needed! Also the breafast is good, ive stayed at a lot of other places and we usually dont get eggs , etc, and they were very good, the cooking lady smiled and prepared them with love at the perfect point! Free towels and free wifi is a plus, also ipads to borrow for free, comfortable bed matresses, fun lounge, overall it was great! thanks Jurgen, gonzalo, Rui and the girls for such a great time! will be back soon! Liked: This place is amazing, it was practically a hotel except for the dorm room and the price. Fantastic activities, great staff, free scrambled eggs for breakfast. This place deserves it's own category, between a hotel and hostel.

Liked: I wish every hostel was like this! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. They have staff who make you scrambled eggs and toast in the morning, and the tables are set with essentials like butter, jam, salt and pepper. There are nightly events, which I highly recommend since you get into the Portuguese culture and meet new people. Also, they have day tours to other places that I heard were very good. The beds are sturdy and super comfortable. There aren't many showers or toilets, but I never had to wait. The entire place is extremely clean, and their laundry service is awesome! I think they even ironed my clothes before returning them to me! The common areas are nicely decorated and the entire place feels like a little home while you're traveling.

Disliked: No lift, but that's minor. Also, the outlets are unlike other European ones that are flush with the wall. These are sunk in a little and need a round adapter that can fit in. Finally, there's no sign where it actually is, which makes it hard to find when it's dark and raining. Maybe a little lit sign would help?

Liked: Amazing location, free eggs/toast breakfast, Wi-Fi and computers/i-Pads available for use in lobby, clean bathrooms and premises, 24 hour staff

Disliked: Pillows horrible, beds not very comfortable, and drinks/food not allowed in bedrooms (only water). Books from library not allowed to be taken into bedrooms also.
