the staff was very helpful and kind they have a very beautiful garden, where people can relax, have breakfast

The general atmosphere was nice and people especially at the reception were very kind. Unfortunately there were renovation and redecoration works going on in the rooms around ours so that we woke up at 8 every morning by the workers noise. Furthermore when we came back on our first day, our room door was not locked as the locker was somehow broken (nothing stolen, and repaired immediately) Some other thing we didn't like so much was that a young bird was kept in a very small cage in the really beautiful garden, which then one morning was dead and when we came back there in the evening, still the dead bird was lying there. Conclusion: nice people, nice garden, quite clean, very simple breakfast. Stressful stay due to the ongoing works in the hostel.

The location is great and the staff *really* friendly and helpful. The small garden is a wonderful place (esp. in the early morning;-)

It was very clean, linen changed every day. The staff were helpful, although some couldn't speak English.

the staff was VERY friendly, and VERY helpful!!! I wasn't aware that it was a gay hostel, but it didn't matter once I noticed (lol). I would stay there again if I ever visited Lisbon again, even though I would like to check out other areas, just for the accomodation alone. I do have a suggestion though; if you could have more of a variety of breakfast foods, and to also keep the orange juice and the milk cold (on ice maybe?) during breakfast. Oh, and along with towels, maybe some wash clothes too? That's all. I loved John and all the ladies there (I'm sorry to not have gotten there names)! Sincerely, Septeena
