Pouso dos Anjos Guesthouse

O Pouso dos Anjos" is a guesthouse with 29 rooms and a private garden in the downtown center. We are a 10 minute walk from Lisbon's central square Rossio.

The “Pouso dos Anjos” is a former Countess’ Palace recently transformed into a guesthouse, located near Lisbon’s downtown (5 minute walk to Rossio’s central square).
It has about 29 cozy and well decorated rooms spread throughout 3 floors and crowned by a quiet private garden.

Our Breakfast is continental and is served in a brand new room, from 8am to 10.30am, where it is displayed a buffet of coffee, tea, milk, juice, bread, croissants, ham, cheese, jam, butter, cereals, and fruit.

We have a private garden which is available for the pure leisure and relaxation of our clients.

Our staff is a melting pot of ethnicities and amongst all we manage to speak 5 languages (Portuguese, Catalan, French, English and Portuguese Sign Language).
The reception is open 24 hours and there’s always someone available to help make your stay as comfortable as possible.
At the Reception we offer maps, cultural guides, car and restaurant bookings, Internet access and a small bar.

Within a 100 meter radius we have a gym, supermarkets, 1 pharmacy, news stands, copy and Internet centers, laundry services, banks (all with ATM machines), restaurants and cafés.

Within approx. 50 meters we have bus stations (buses Nº 34; 40; 208; 708), tramway station (Nº 28, which can take you to Graça, Alfama, the flee market, the Castle, Bairro Alto and Estrela) and two subway stations (Anjos and Intendente, both on the green line; subway, which runs 6:30am to 1:00am).

The hostel’s touching stone is its diversity and prejudice-free mentality, patent in the decoration, the staff itself and the clientèle from all corners of the globe and walks of life.

Accommodation Information

Most of the rooms feature a en suite bathroom. We offer singles, doubles, triples and quadruples. Each floor has several common bathrooms and we are proud of our high standard of Hygiene and Safety kept through the whole structure.

The suite is the hotel’s most comfortable room and is decorated in a modern way with a large bathroom.

The hotel also provides a twin room decorated with antique tiles and a new quadruple room located in the garden, both with private bathroom.

NEW: Recently, Pouso dos Anjos has a new acquirement: a dorm room, that serves 12 people in two different rooms. Perfect for backpakers and low-budget travelers, the dorm has shared bathrooms (for women and men), air conditioning, lockers where the guests can keep their belongings and a diner area.

Pouso dos Anjos is located 10 minutes away (by taxi) from the airport.

Nearby, you can find everything to satisfy your needs, in typical portuguese buildings: pharmacies, restaurants, pastry shops, coffee shops, hairdressers, ATM machines, gym, church, grocery stores, liquor and wine stores, supermarket, etc.

Only 8 minutes away (walking) from Rossio Square, Pouso dos Anjos is easily accessed by every transportation: train (Rossio station), metro (Intendente station), bus (). This way, from our guesthouse, our guests can travel to Lisbon's historical spots!
