Liked: Free breakfast was decent. Was the cheapest option when I booked. Has a kitchen. Beds were fine.

Disliked: Horrible atmosphere; like a decaying motel. Staff were not friendly, and when I wanted to make some breakfast at 7:30 before leaving for my bus they wouldn't let me because "the kitchen doesn't open till eight." Charge for wi fi which is ridiculous, and the kitchen was quite dirty. Showers were on a 30 second push button timer and took a few minutes to warm up. This hostel is fine if you're just looking for a cheap place to sleep, but I have paid the same amount for much better places in Portugal.

Liked: Large spacious double room with a large bathroom , rooms where very clean.

Disliked: There was nothing that we didn't like about this hostel.

Liked: The hostel is in the old town of Lagos, close to everything in town. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Great if you are under 25 and want a party-crash pad for 33 euros and can block out ambient noise at will.

Disliked: Trapped in the 80s and far from cozy, this dorm-style hostel had some weak points. Although we were only minutes from the beach, our room only had one window facing a courtyard. The drinking and partying of our neighbors kept us awake until 1:00 a.m. The breakfast was served by a particularly irate staff, the coffee tasted like pesticide. Our breakfast coupon should have doubled as a 10 euro cash rebate. The hostel is government-subsidized so blame bad bureaucracy I guess.

Liked: Absolutely nothing!

Disliked: Worst hostel Ive ever been to! I mean, first there is nobody there, then all the facilities are old and almost always broken. They say they have a bar, a lounge area, pool tables and babyfoot tables, but the bar is closed, the pool tables is like 1.50 euro for 30 minutes and everything else is out of order... The staff there was clueless about everything! They just did not know anything; where to go out, what we should go see. They were really cold to, not friendly at all! I mean, we arrived there, the guy mad us pay and gave us our keys, thats it, he did not show us around, he did not give us any maps or any advice. Now the rooms. When I started traveling, I said Id carry a sleeping bag just in case the sheets were to disgusting. Well its the first time I had to use it in my whole trip.

Liked: Stayed here several times before. Good kitchen. better with an electric kettle now. Also wifi, not free but good price, 50c for 1 hour, 4 hrs for €2. Decent brekkie, enough for lunch too with me..

Disliked: Nothing really except they liked to keep the kitchen door open so smokers could access the courtyard and it was cold. Also push taps in the shower.

Liked: Extremely cheap, very good location -at the city center, close to pubs and restaurants- and very friendly staff.

Disliked: Rooms were, maybe, a bit too small for 4 people.

Liked: Very clean, friendly, good atmosphere, amazing location, breakfast is immense!

Disliked: Very hot in the rooms, and quite noisy on the front-facing rooms - take ear plugs :-)

Liked: Dreibettzimmer mit eigenem Bad ohne extra Buchung! Dachterasse und große Küche. Direkt im Zentrum und trotzdem nicht zu laut. TOP!!!

Liked: It's close to the pubs and beaches, and the young employees are friendly and nice

Disliked: The rooms' windows are on the pubs' street, so if you want to sleep soon one night, there's quite lot of noise. There was an older reception woman quite unpleasant. We asked to take a shower on the last day when we already checked out few hours before and it was so hard to get it! When we just spent 3 nights in there, in 6 people...

Liked: Hostel is okay, close to the nightlife & the beach is a quick walk away

Disliked: The toilets were all blocked (clearly after a heavy night for some) & the staff wern't very chatty

Liked: Just about every thing except my dorm locker.

Disliked: My locker key did not work an they just said to bad. So i had nowhere to lock my camera ect. Very poor....

Liked: Close to downtown and the beach, well equipped kitchen, good breakfast

Disliked: you can`t pay by credit card (failure of the terminal?), loud clubs nearby (if you like silence) - but still for 5 +

Liked: Great sleeping arrangements! My parents got a very nice double bedroom ensuite for 16 euros per person, and it was very much like what you'd get in any nice hotel! While my sisters and I had a 4-bed dorm to ourselves, 12 euros each. Well done!

Disliked: Crappy computer to copy pictures and use internet... go to the cybercafe at the end of the street!

Liked: There wasn't much atmosphere and the kitchen was not adequately equipped. Good location. YOu really get what you pay for and at 12 euro with breakfast included it's not a bad deal.
