Lagos Youth Hostel

The good thing about the Youth Hostel in Lagos is that it's close to everything. If you stay here, you're within the town centre, so you are near the shops and all the facilities you could need for a wonderful holiday.

Near the marina, you'll find a small boat that takes you to Meia Praia, an enormous extension of white sand. Other beaches hide behind the cliffs, and the water is a magical green, from the yellow of the sun and the deep blue sea. Going back to the city, you can enjoy its lively nightlife, checking out the many bars filled with foreign voices. Don't be shy; this may be the beginning of a long-lasting friendship. Visit for two days and you will be tempted to stay a month or even longer. The legendary beaches and bars keep people coming back year after year.

Hostelling International membership card is required. Portuguese can buy it directly at any hostel. Foreigners should buy it in their home countries otherwise a supplement of 2€ per night/per person will be charged to non-members.

Location Information

It's hard to leave Lagos because of it's beauty and the terrific weather. There are a lot of cheap and fun pubs around the hostel. Take the time to walk around earlier on in the evening and you will find which pub is offering the best happy hour deals. The scenic trek around the water front, which leads on from beach to another. It's beautiful at any time of the day. Make sure you wear some comfortable shoes.
