We are a brand new Backpackers Hostel located in the centre of the old town of Lagos, Portugal. With six (6) dorm rooms (mostly 4x persons per room max 6) and our sexy honeymoon suite for couples/larger people.
All our rooms have individual security lockers, washing facilitIes, with electric razor/ hairdryer power points and vanity mirrors. For a small (refundable on return) deposit, you will receive freshly pressed sheets, pillows duvet and towels.
Our Male and female shower/toilet facilitIes are clean, fresh and bursting with hot water! we have an in house laundry service for a €5 euro charge we will wash and dry a basket of your smelly undies for you!
There is a beautiful common room, comfy sofas, beanbags, a coZy wood burning fireplace for the chilly nights, a comprehensive library, TV/DVD and internet area (free for all residents). Our whole building is WiFi if you want to use your laptops etc. At the rear of the house is our roof terrace, with lots of communal lounges, Barbeque area, shady areas to chill out on hot sunny days and a funky arabian fountain! All this and a view over the rooftops of the old town.
Downstairs we have One Fat Monkey Diner, great food from 8am till late. All residents receive $ One Million Monkey Dollars $ per day with their stay. Each dollar entitles you to a free continental breakfast before midday. For the hardcore party lovers, your monkey dollar can get you the 3 Monkeys liquid breakfast at our world famous sister bar 3Monkeys (only minutes walk from the hostel). www.3monkeys.me.uk
Lagos is the party town in Portugal, although situated in a quiet street, we are right in the heart of all the infamous Lagos nightlife and just 5 minutes stroll from beautiful sandy coves and beaches.
We have regular Barbeques, Organised Cliff Walks, Mountain Bike Rides and Surf Trips. We have a 24hour reception (no curfew!) We accept bookings by phone, fax or email. We ask for a €10euro credit card deposit upon booking with the rest of your nights payable on arrival.
We attempt to keep our dorms single sex at all times though exceptions can and will be made to suit groups etc. Unless we are given prior notice check-in is from midday onwards although late arrivals (after 8pm) must be aware these beds may be taken. PLEASE INFORM US OF ARRIVAL TIME!
We offer an airport pick up service at €30 Euros per person or FREE pick up from Lagos train or bus stations WOW!
Our international staff (English, Portugese, German, French, Belgium and Australasian spoken) are there to help make your stay in our beautiful town fun and safe. We will show you the best places to swim, surf, eat, drink and play! We also are here to give you a haven where you can chill out between all the action. The monkey house is here to be your home away from home. Treat the house like your home and we will treat you like family!
