Liked: I liked that it was close to the heart of Lagos and that it was a close walk to the beach. Also, it was clean and there was internet for most of our stay.

Disliked: Where to begin. The staff was friendly for the whole 2 mins we saw them out of our entire stay. I get that we were the only people staying there but that does not mean you don´t have to come by and make sure we are OK. Incidently, we did need something and it is called heat. Our heater in our room did not work and we wore jackets for our entire stay. Or, we would just go outside where it was actually warmer than our room so we could thaw out. We tried to knock on a million doors, email the staff and left notes for them. Nothing. We ended up leaving a day early and just left cash on the table for the nights we stayed since we had no opportunity to pay the staff.

Liked: Casa sousa was the best place I have ever been. The room was big, clean, the staff was very friendly and it was on a great location. I also had a kitchen and a BBQ to use. I realy recommend casa sousa.

Liked: Good location, lovely lady who runs the place - very friendly. Has umbrellas that you can take to the beach. 2 minute walk to city centre. 10-15 mintutes to beaches.

Disliked: Our room didn't have air condition and it was quite hot. The beds were hard and very noisy .

Liked: Great property with wonderful staff and a cool BBQ. They have bedrooms to 30 persons without problems. A good lady, who takes care of you better than your family, do always things easy. It's a pleasure stay in that place, i'll repeat sure.

Liked: Amazing value, clean, safe and beautiful!

Disliked: It is not a place to party or meet people but that is okay. Overall, I am so happy we stayed here and HIGHLY recommend it!!!!!!!

Liked: Great location. The landlady was really helpful and lovely! Spotlessly clean. There's an actual computer with internet access for those of us who still haven't got an i-phone... Travelling during off-season, I had a whole room of four beds to myself.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The lady who ran the hostel was just sensational - so warm and friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen area was well equipt. It was very good for the price and I would recommend people stay there.

Disliked: The 4 bed room was very squashy and the floors always felt dirty (though the beds and the bathroom were clean otherwise). Also, a 10am checkout in a nightlife town such as Lagos is very inconvenient!

Liked: They really try hard to make sure everything is great for you and go out of their way to try to please you. Felt more like a guest house, very cozy feeling. Definitely a lovely place to get away from the hostel scene and relax.

Disliked: I guess that they had made my bed up each morning, which isn't a bad thing necessarily- i just wasn't expecting it! So they put all my things in neat piles and even folded my smelly shirt and pants! Some people may not like others touching their stuff; but I actually felt bad they had touched my grotty clothes. And to be fair, I think the woman may have asked me if I wanted my bed made, but I don't speak Portuguese so whatever she said got a smile and nod or some rubbish Spanish phrase from me.

Liked: It was cheap, traditional Portuguese home. Kitchen, free wifi

Disliked: No help with where to go or what to do, don't speak English a lot, freezing in the winter - I eventually asked for a heater and they got me one so that was nice. Not great light in the room

Liked: Casa sousa was the best place i have ever been.the room was cleaned everyday, big and have a good balcony.the staff was very friendly.i really enjoyed to stay there and i will back there for sure.

Liked: Good location and clean rooms

Disliked: The Landlady was something of a tyrant. She closed the kitchen and public areas at 11pm and shephearded us into our rooms, waiting outside and whispering "Silencio".

Liked: Casa Sousa was in a really nice spot in Lagos not far from the center with all the bars and restaurants. The room we had was very nice, large and clean. Although some of the furniture was quite old everything is in best shape. The bathroom was new and clean. Our room had a nice balcony with seaview.

Disliked: If you book seperate rooms it is hard to get in contact with other people in the hostel because except for the kitchen there is no common area or dining room. Also breakfast could have been includet.

Liked: A real Portuguese home converted to a hotel, it is a pleasure to stay in such an authentic place. It is clean, has great character, and the staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. There is a fully equipped kitchen as well.

Liked: beautiful traditional portugese property, loved the stay here, man at hostel was so friendly and so was the older lady. our room had a balcony with a sea view that was so unexpected it was all beautiful, we loved it so much that we extended our stay there. gorgeous! would love to return next summer. perfect location just 2 minute easy walk in to town. if u arrive by bus, walk to hostel, if u arrive by train, taxi to hostel. clean room and towels every day, internet really really fast aswel.

Disliked: nothing, stay was perfect.
