Liked: Tout était parfait. Angela est très gentille, toujours prête à rendre service et au devant des gens. Le déjeuner était toujours excellent! Très agréable séjour dans la belle ville de Lagos.

Liked: Angela makes you feel very much at home. The room was pretty and clean, and as we were the only guests, being out of season, we had the shower room to ourselves. Nice to sit in the little area and have breakfast cooked for you. Very convenient for the town centre, about a 5 minute walk, but far enough out to feel safe and not noisy.

Disliked: We stayed in January, and the room was unseated and very cold. Thankfully there was warm bedding, but we had to go to bed early as it was too cold to sit in the room. There was no hot water for the shower, although Angela did apologise that she had forgotten to buy a new gas bottle for it, so hopefully a one off.

Liked: Everything was amazing! We were the only ones staying there and had the shared bathroom to ourselves. Angela speaks French and spanish/port? But she tries very hard to communicate with her guests! Breakfast was good. Great location and a friendly man who knew Angela even walked us right to the door. Very clean and totally worth the price, which is cheap! STAY HERE!

Liked: Ideal location for us - close to the best bit of town. Beautiful, clean, light & airy room. Angela charming & helpful - switched between French & Portugese to try to help us, with our very basic grasp of those languages. She cooked breakfast at whatever time we needed it & it was a delight to stay there.

Disliked: Nothing at all. If you're looking to meet other travellers, this probably isn't for you, as there are no communual areas (as far as we could see, but we were the only people there at the time).

Liked: Angela is a very friendly and helpful host, and made us feel welcome right from our arrival until our departure. I couldnt bthink of a better place to stay for the excellent value.

Liked: Angela was amazing, and the breakfast of homemade jams, fresh orange juice and an omelet was delicious!

Disliked: Somewhat difficult to find despite the good location - catch a taxi (it's only about 6 euros).

Liked: It was in a pretty good location (once we actually found it!) The wifi was strong enough to make skype calls. The breakfast was good, but it was the same thing every single day (omelette with toast)

Disliked: There was a cockroach in the hallway and bathroom- someone trapped it under a glass one day but then it stayed there under the glass for the rest of our stay! kinda gross, although the guesthouse wasnt actually dirty. The landlady only spoke Spanish, Portuguese and French, so there was a language barrier. The directions to the guesthouse were horrible, it isnt plotted correctly on googlemaps, so we wandered around Lagos for almost an hour. However, it turns out it is an easy 15 minute walk from the train station if you know which route to take!

Liked: I cannot say enough good things about this hostel. It was WONDERFUL. Angela had a nice home in very easy walking distance from the center of town. Our room had a nice view, with a great ceiling fan that kept the room as cool as if it were air conditioned fully. The bathrooms were clean, and Angela herself was a doll. She was such a wonderful host, making us an eggs and toast - with homemade apricot, mango, and strawberry jam! It was THE BEST breakfast we ate over the nine days we traveled within both Spain and Portugal -- even better than any restaurant! It was simply wonderful. Her hospitality alone made this easily one of the best places I have ever stayed, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lagos!

Disliked: I loved everything about this home stay. My husband and I do usually prefer staying somewhere with private bathrooms, which we didn't have here -- but there were only a few other rooms available at the home, so we never had to wait in line for either of the (two) bathrooms.

Liked: Angela is so welcoming. She is very helpful, funny and makes you feel very at home. Angela cooks a wonderful breakfast. The best we have had so far. The wifi connection is excellent, the fresh towels are free and the shower is awesome. I would recommend anybody stay here with 100% rating. It's close to main town and the kitchen is great. She even did our washing for 5€. Great value.

Liked: Angela's place made our stay in Lagos. She was really welcoming from the moment we checked in and gave us great tips for visiting the beach. Her place is 5 minutes from the center of town and 10-15 minutes from best beaches (walking distance). She served a great breakfast with fresh OJ and homemade jam. Staying with her was like staying at grandma's place! She's super friendly and spoke French, Spanish, Portuguese, and possibly more. Would not hesitate to go back.

Liked: Angela is such a sweetheart. There may be a language barrier if you don´t speak Portuguese, French or Spanish, but she seems to be an expert at communicating with people of any nationality. If all else fails, hand signals always work. The hot breakfast in the morning was a great change from your average (and dull) hostel breakfast. The homemade mango jelly was particularly delicious! The bed was comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean.

Disliked: It was pretty difficult to find. Follow the written directions instead of the Google map. Lagos is really small, so as long as you can find Infantes Sagres and the roundabout, you should be fine.

Liked: Clean, homely accommodation and good breakfast including eggs. Great if you are travelling as a couple, even better if you have a car as there is free parking close by. Angela was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome, even offering us cake one afternoon.

Disliked: Directions are tricky to go by, would reccommend google mapping it to help you find the place. Might be a bit of a walk from the train station, however, this did not affect us as we had hired a car.

Liked: The hostess! Angela is such a lovely woman. Don't be put off that she doesn't speak English- we got by on the little French we have and Angela always made the effort to help us understand. This is a really nice place to make your base for a few days- especially for couples.

Disliked: Nothing. Absolutely perfect.
