Concerning the architectonic and historical heritage is worth to highlight the monumentally of Idanha-a-Nova as well as the historical villages of Idanha-a-Velha, Monsanto e Penha Garcia with its traditional houses built from granite and schist, its medieval fortresses and Roman remains.

Location Information

Located in the interior of Portugal, and area not yet overly populated and yet with all and any services anyone may need. The hostel is located neer the ( Marshal Carmona ) reservoir in wich water sports can be practiced. There are also a variey of small villages in the district perfect for sight seeing and walking. castles, mountains, roman churches and buildings are some of the many things you may see in our district. Idanha also has a tradition of having events on a regular basis, such as musical, traditional, folklore, and food events throughout its villages...
