A traditional Madeiran guest house set in the Old Town of Funchal, with its cobbled streets, small shops and restaurants!

You can stroll along the sea front, watching the comings and goings of ships in the Port of Funchal, and take yourself by cable car to the panoramic viewpoint of Monte, situated in the upper part of Funchal- all within a 5 minute reach. In less than 5 minutes you can find yourself at Barreirinha swimming complex with sea access, or in the splendid Central Market – Mercado dos Lavradores with its famous flower, vegetable and fruit stalls.

In the surroundings you will find many lovely restaurants, where you can enjoy a good meal! Behind the Mirasol Residential there is a soccer field and a sports hall where our guests can watch different kinds of sports games. Nearby too you will find bus stations, from which you may take a bus that will take you too many Levada walking points around the island!

Further afield, there are historic buildings to visit; or you can spend a morning relaxing in one of Funchal's many parks and botanic gardens, where generations of plant collectors have brought back specimens from all over the world.

Whether you come to Madeira for the spectacular flowers and trees, the famous levada walks, the rugged volcanic scenery of its 6000 foot peaks - or simply to relax strolling around in the sun - the Mirasol is a convenient and comfortable starting point for you.
We are always more than happy to inform you about a big discovery trip to the most beautiful points on the island, as well we can arrange the cheapest price for a rented car for you.
