Liked: Good value for money. Great location. Room was comfortable.

Disliked: The bathroom smelled very bad and it went through the whole room if the window was not left open.

Liked: Well located near bus and train station but in the run down bit of town. This doesn't really matter as it's only a couple of minutes walk to the centre where there are nices places to eat etc. Very good value for money, very clean and comfortable bed. recommended as a good budget option.

Disliked: nothing to dislike, it's a good budget hotel.

Liked: Very good location, nice staffs and very clean: The room is very. The room is very well equipped with television, air conditioning, etc. ...

Disliked: The only problem is does not serve breakfast. It would be perfect.

Liked: The location was good, very close to the city centre, the room was tiny and with little light coming from the window, but it was clean.

Disliked: The room was a bit tiny, but we were only staying for onenight so it was ok.

Liked: convenient to train/bus stations

Disliked: The noise (of opening/closing doors/TV and talking next door/traffic)made it difficult for me to sleep. The room and general interior was very cramped. The map of Faro given is very poor quality.

Liked: We booked a private double en suite, and judging by other hostels we have stayed at, were expecting nothing but the double bed and bathroom. What we walked into was more like a hotel: Flat screen TV with access to many popular TV stations (in English!), chocolates on our pillows, four towels hanging in our HUGE bathroom for our use, shower soap as well as hand soap, a closet for our clothes, air conditioning which we could control ourselves. The staff welcomed us with information about the area and local attractions, gave us recommendations for restaurants and a coupon for a bar nearby, and when we had to leave for the airport at 6 in the morning, they even called our cab for us. The free wifi was wonderful and worked very well, and the reception desk had a full bar menu with really decent prices - we got a great bottle of red wine for 6eur that we could take back to our room and enjoy in front of a nice show on TV. It was superb - better than many hotels I've been to.

Disliked: I was traveling with my boyfriend, for the sole purpose of sitting on a beach, so I wasn't interested in meeting fellow travelers necessarily. However, if you are looking for a sociable place where you can meet a lot of people, this probably isn't your best bet, as there is no real lounge area and no kitchen, and the terrace is kind of small.

Liked: friendly and helpful staff, very close to the city centre and bus/train station, big tarrace where you can eat breakfest or drink a glass of wine, cleaning room service every day, it's more like a hotel rather than a hostel!
