Liked: close to city centre (15 min) and the main train station (5 min)

Liked: it was more like a hotel rather than a hostel. if was very close to the city center( 15 mins) and very close to the train station (5 min)

Disliked: it was more like a hotel so it was difficult to meet people and it was a bit noisy in the morning due to the traffic outside. there is also no kitchen

Liked: The staff at Sao Filipe were very friendly and helpful and always willing to answer questions. The rooms are cleaned and made up every day. The terrace outside is a great place to sit with a drink after a day exploring. The place is in a great location and easy to find - even after a bus journey arriving at 2am! A tiny bit more expensive than some other places, but very worth it - so much so we stayed an additional night! Highly recommended.

Liked: There's a fantastic portugese restaurant just around the corner - some of the BEST food I've eaten in a VERY long time. The hostel recommended it - they know their stuff! the hostel was also very quiet and quaint. in all, a great stay.

Liked: Locatiojn was good, but there are number of hostels in the same place, rooms were really small, but enough for one person, too small for two, basically for that price i would imagine something nicer. Bathroom and shower was too small.

Liked: close to all sights and bars\restaurantsthe lady there recommended a great restaurant, adega nova just 2mins from the hostel, great value. also a great cafe on the same street away from the town squareeasy access to bus station and trains and buses to Faro beach and airportnice little terrace but not a really social place, just a spot to sleep really.small rooms but air con is good!

Liked: It´s a pity that you can´t have breakfast at this location and that there are no shared rooms. So, it´s hard to meet people at this place. The staff was very friendly and they have a huge terrasse where you can have a drink in the sun. Very good value for money.
