Liked: The area is remote and you actually feel like you are in Portugal as everything is very authentic. Must see: Beautiful rock pool and fountain near by, the local area is so peaceful. Hotel is very clean, rooms are cleaned everyday. Staff are very friendly especially if you learn very basic portuguese.

Disliked: Everywhere is on a steep hill so be prepared to walk. The bus in to Albufeira is about 10 Euros each way and taxis are very expensive, about 30 euros to Albufeira. The food at the hotel is nice but very repetitive and slightly over priced. The menu is definately not big enough to eat there for 14 nights! The pool is quite small which is fine for the hotel however it is freezing. Everyone had to go in gradually as it is very cold although I went in August so 40 degree heat it was kind of nice to cool down. There really is not much to do in this area... be prepared to relax fully for the duration that you are there or pay for the luxury to travel outside.
