Liked: Staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Atmosphere is great and the hostel is very well decorated.

Disliked: The heater in the room could be warmer. Though there were a couple of toilets, but some toilet bowl's flushing system were faulty.

Liked: Good place to stay if you are going snowboarding. Really pretty looking building but old. Staff were helpful. 15min walk from the centre. Quite close to bus and train station.

Disliked: In our room the heating didn't work but the blankets were really warm. The light blew in the bathroom and it didn't get fixed.

Liked: The room we stayed in was great very big and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast and self catering kitchen were good

Liked: zakapane style architecture was fairly different to anything i've stayed in before. mostly hikers were staying there and they were friendly enough. orange juice included in the breakfast!

Disliked: i couldn't really get a clear answer as to when the last bus to slovakia was from a couple of different reception staff. i got on the 1615 (towards poprad via zdair) although i'm still not sure if it was the last.

Liked: As the name indicated, the hostel was OLD!

Disliked: It was a tiny bit farther from the town center than I expected from reading the description on HostelBookers. If you want ham and cheese for breakfast and juice and milk, you have to get it between 7 and 8 AM. After that you are generally left with whatever is left over from others who have eaten.

Liked: Excellent place. You are staying in a ski chalet. All hand carved wood construction, lots of character. I only wish i could have been there in the winter, from the pictures they have inside it looks beautiful with the snow.

Disliked: About 10-15 walk from either the bus/train station or the center. But its not that bad.

Liked: It's one of the best hostel in all the world. Not expensive,good staff, the best breakfast in the hostels. And U're live in wooden villa was built in 1905 year!!!!Amazing.

Liked: Really kind & heplful as 1 person in our party was hurt skiing

Disliked: Bathroom light in the private ensuite not working, asked receptionist she said she would try to sort it out for us.

Liked: A short walk to a good supermarket.. A 15 minute walk to town, shorter to bus, train and ski hire. Kitchen facilities.

Liked: On the positive aspects: the staff is friendly and helpfull, the location is very close to the railway, direct buses to the ski areas close by, cosy rooms, clean, consistent breakfast in the package, a 24 h reception.

Disliked: On the not so positive yet not necesarilly negative aspect: to the center there is around a 15 minutes walk (depending on one's rythm),.
