Liked: it was comfortable and easy to reach the main streets of the city. as well stuff is great and always helps. what is more we realy enjoyed the hostel itself, it is very cosy

Liked: Dirty bathroom. No showers, only bath and dirt. Nice bedclothes. Anyway, this hostel is not the first choice in Zakopane.

Liked: I like the location of the hostel, it's in walking distance but still far enough from the centre to be a quiet place to stay. I didn't like the lack of some kitchen utensils like knifes and it's strange that they serve cereals as breakfast, but they do not provide milk. The biggest disadvantage was cleanliness, but this is normal, when the owner wants to save money, and no cleaning person is empolyed, but the recepctionist has to do all the cleaning stuff. Bathroom was ok, but in the wardrobes, where I wanted to put my things, there were scraps of bread and they were full of dust. The hostel needs a person which does general cleaning from time to time, and doesn't work as a receptionist in the same time. The second thing - we wanted to check out, and we had to wait for the receptionist which was sitting in smoking room, chatting with a friend and acting as we didn't exist, didn't stay in front of the reception with a key. The rest of the satff was helpful (we meet two bloneds which were really nice, gave us a lot of information, but this dark-haired wasn't nice at all).

Liked: Beautiful building, great location, all the facilities we needed.Hot water for showers was a bit temperamental though!

Liked: I chose the location because it was AWAY from the main tourist street...I wanted a nice quiet place that was also within easy walking distance of the tourist street. The location was perfect for my needs.

Liked: Great people, great staff (most of the time). Quiet after hours and the kitchen was a big plus. A family place in an old style wooden house with amazing carvings.

Liked: The place itself was very nice but the room was moist and damp. Nothing made out of textile was dry in that room and that was not very pleasant. The staff was not available at the reception more than half of the times needed but maybe not to be blamed since they had to go from scrubbing the toilet to answering the phone at the reception. BIG MINUS for the uncomfort caused by the moist in the room.

Liked: The best thing about this hostel is the free laundry service they offer, the only one weve encountered on our travels so far.Other than that this hostel is a great place to chill out in the beautiful Zakopane area. Its not great if your looking for a party, as there is no bar area, but then again your probably not looking for major partying if your in Zakopane!

Liked: This hostel was very conveniently located, clean and spacious, and just an overall comfortalbe place to stay. The kitchen is well-equiped with dishes, cofee, tea, etc. Common areas are large, clean, and comfortable. Free internet! I wished I could have stayed longer, and I would definitely be interested in going back again.

Liked: Stara Polana offers the best Polish highlander experience. Very comfortable, free internet, good breakfast, updated and awesome staff - pozdrowienia dla Agnieszki, Asi i Jozefa! It is about 10-15min walk from Krupowki (main pedestrian street).

Liked: I really enjoyed my stay in "Stara Polna".The staff is very helpful and kind with guests.You could meet very nice people as you could share your travel experiences with them.This place is a nice woody chalet where you feel like home.So,fully recommended.

Liked: Not far (10 mins) from the central street and also near to train/bus station, but quiet area. The room was quite spacious and ok for the money spent. The breakfast is just bread and cornflakes and there is no internet in the rooms, although they do have one pc in reception.

Liked: Old wood cabin, very beautiful. Rooms were nice, large and clean. Only 1 computer, ONE shower. Kitchen was well equiped. Chilly, but the staff provided a space heater. Not conversational in English though, a bit tough going.

Liked: We were happily surprised by the nice setting of the hostel and the spacious rooms. Kitchen is very well equipped. Only minus is the single shower available (for dorms) which might cause queuing... I would go again!

Liked: nice and cheap place to stay...but I think they turn off the heaters or smth so,It's quite cold inside.Staffs are ok but One of them treat people differently by gender :) 555

Liked: The hostel is in a tipycal house from the Zakopane mountains, made of wood with nice decoration. The staff are kind and helpful. Maybe is a little bit far away from the city center but in a few minuts by foot you can reach it. Highly recomended!!
