Liked: Booked to stay for three nights, ended up staying for ten. It's homely, in quiet and beautiful surroundings and not too far from the centre. The staff are helpful and friendly and it's cheap too. It's not worth staying anywhere else.

Disliked: There ain't nuttin' I didn't like.

Liked: Good hostel with facilities for cooking, resting and accsess to internet. I like barbecue very much there - good price and beautiful surroundings of forest, river and hills. The staff is friendly and helpful - all of them speak english, even one of them from England. It is a littel bit far from centre but close to ski slope and to Morskie Oko. It is worth every penny.

Disliked: There is shower and toilet together, you can be waiting a few minutes longer than you wish but seems people realise that and I never had a problems with it.

Liked: Good Bye Lenin is the perfect place from which to explore the Zakopane area. It's a little bit out of town, but it's easy to get to and that's the best thing about it, as it gets you out of hyper-touristy Zakopane and much closer to the national park, which is right across the road. The staff are super helpful and are actually genuinely interested in helping you have a great (and safe) time in the Zakopane wilderness. The hostel offers BBQ dinners when the weather is good, which usually ends up in people sitting around the open fire and chatting for hours afterwards. The place is small, cosy and personal, the facilities all work well, there's free wifi, the bathrooms are clean, the breakfast is good and plentiful. All in all the place is incredible value for money. Go there, you won't regret it.

Disliked: Most of the dorms have an ensuite but it seems that people from the dorms use the bathrooms that are available to the private rooms, which often ends up in a wait to use the shower/toilet.

Liked: What a difference staff can make! Very nice, clean hostel! It's a bit far from the city center of Zakopane, but for those who like hiking and chilling out, it's perfect ;-) They are doing great job!

Liked: loved everything. staff great, and they organised some good snowfall while i was there :)

Disliked: it is a big hill to walk up with your luggage. (well it felt big in the snow...)

Liked: It was really homely. The staff are amazing. The location is great! I met some lovely people here as well. it is one of the best places I have stayed at, and I have travelled to many places.

Liked: Goodbye Lenin has reopened last year under new management, but still is perfect as it used to be. The location is extremely wonderful! The staff is also nice and relaxed and always keen to help! It is located at the entrance of the Tatra National Park. Perfect place for hikers and not far from Zakopane town. Recommended!

Liked: Brilliant hostel. Such friendly staff, lovely wilderness location but such cheap taxis and buses to town or you can walk there. Amazing value for money and great bbq dinners too!Loved it! Really good knowledge and information for hikes and cycling in the tatras.

Liked: The location was perfect- right in the mountains It felt warm and welcoming too. the staff are great too. they try so hard to make you feel at home- a welcome shot of vodka! Stan even lent me some walking poles which made the hill walks possible for me They cook an awesome BBq and breakfast is really good too. The packed lunches are good value nad save the hassle of having to go shopping for stuff

Disliked: Sometimes having to queue for the toilet and shower but that seems acommon problem in these parts of the globe

Liked: Superb location, superb staff- so friendly and helpful thank you SO much for being so helpful! really enjoyed some good runs and hikes in the mountains here, come here for character and location, really awesome!! Can't wait to come back!

Liked: It was such a great spot! The hostel is in a georgous wooden chalet and is nestled in the forest. Its super easy to get to with loads of minibuses passing and just over the road is the National Park and the start of one of the hiking trails. The staff were really really helpful. They organised a poker game one night and BBQ another. Theres an outdoor fire and heaps of DVDs. All round it was a great stay!

Liked: Fantastic atmosphere, friendly and cheerful staff, great location, beautiful surroundings - a perfect place for a weekend to chill-out and also a good starting point for mountains activities.

Liked: Really homely setting and atmosphere. Welcoming and friendly staff who were particularly helpful with our washing. When it was raining (which it did a lot in our stay) they provided entertainment with films and poker!

Disliked: Quite far out.

Liked: This place feels more like home than a hostel! The staff and other guests become an instant family. Staff are helpful and friendly, always clean. They even allowed us to check in early! Best hostel we've stayed in after two months of traveling!

Liked: This place is great for hiking and participating in outdoor activities in the Tatra Mountains. The staff is super helpful, and the living room is an excellent place for getting to know other travelers, watching movies, and warming up with a cup of tea. I wish the weather had been nicer when I visited, but the hostel was a good place to just relax away from the city. This is not a place to go for partying and shopping, but the perfect destination for hiking and relaxing!

Disliked: The storage lockers under the bed could be improved...
