Liked: Good location - close to Old Town. Free breakfast.

Disliked: Noisy (bar downstairs and drunk people hanging outside room), roommate vomiting over room floor and throughout the bathroom, cold room, a drunk staff member who was harrassing us (he was drunk at 10.30am) and who made us feel quite uncomfortable... good for those who just want to party really. Did not enjoy our stay here, and we left a day before our check-out date as we really needed sleep and did not feel comfortable here.

Disliked: kitchen need to be upgraded. fridge full to the brim. no space at all.

Liked: Good location, good enough bathrooms, quiet enough to sleep.

Disliked: the dormitory sleeping quarters has a carpet that wasn't vacuumed and even after it was vacuumed it was filthy in no time.

Liked: The staff were so friendly, easy going and helpful, nothing was ever too much to ask. The downstairs bar and atmosphere def make it a worthwhile stay. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Disliked: The bathroom cleanliness was not the best, but not so bad that you would hold it against them.

Liked: We were a stag party and it suited what we needed in terms of comfort and location.

Liked: Great location between the Old Town and Jewish district.

Disliked: A mix-up with our booking meant that we were given a twin room with bunkbeds rather than the double-bed room we had booked. The staff admitted this was their error however and gave us a small discount on the price.

Liked: The beds were quite comfortable

Disliked: the bathrooms were absolutely dirty, toilet paper was missing in every toilets and the breakfast (supposed to be served between 7am and 11am) was already over at 9am

Liked: strange people walking around the hostal. Drunks are used to be found it on the entrance from 20 PM, it seems they know well the staff.

Disliked: Small kitchen

Liked: Bar staff were lovely, cheap BBQ, non-rattly bed and no curfew was great

Disliked: Just not as true to it's word as the website would suggest. It was Easter so the hostel was lacking the social atmosphere. Not sure about other floors but only one bathroom on the ground floor. We were travelling with iPods not laptops & the wifi didn't work on mobile devices.

Liked: The bar, beer garden and screening room. Also the kitchen and fridge available.

Disliked: Online it said "free breakfast" but bread, jam and butter is not quite breakfast

Liked: A 45 year old bloke like myself was welcomed & the staff were great. For $10 Aust I got a bed, a free drink in the bar, helpful advice, a hot shower, a great chat in the bar and breakfast. Come on..... who could ask for more!!!!

Disliked: It was too easy to stay up talking. I didn't get to bed until 2.30am!!!! ( But this is not a dislike is it!!! )

Liked: good place to stay. hostel offers everything to make one's stay as nice as possible, e.g. friendly staff, free breakfast, bar, billiard table, cinema, excursions etc. location is just in between - to the jewish district and old town it's not more than a 5 min walk. but...

Disliked: ...check you rooms. there is a different standard between those in the main building and those in the extra building. whe got old and noisy metallic bunk beds but there are newer and nicer one's in the extra building. of course, we could have asked for a change but we came there for party and not for complaining. yet this information might help you guys when you'll be there. additionally, 4 bathrooms incl. toilets are insufficient for 5 rooms with 6-8 people when the hostel is fully booked (this was the case for the new year). you have to be organized or patient to get a shower or a chance to use the toilets in the morning/evening. all in all it was a nice stay, i would recommend this place!

Liked: I love that there was a guest kitchen, very nice/large movie room, free internet, and the rooms were a very nice size! The location was good and easy to get to the Old Town with good restaurants and a grocery store near by.

Disliked: I didn't dislike anything, but the description on how to get there from the Old Town by walking was not very helpful. The only directions were given if you were on tram.

Liked: The blankets were fairly characterful, and the place is clean. The location is reasonable, on a side street and not in the centre, but between the centre and Kazimierz. The room was nothing special and rather packed with beds, but fine.

Disliked: When I arrived, the receptionist could not access my booking, as only the manager could get bookings from HostelBookers, clearly an absurd situation. I wanted to pay then as I had to leave early, but this was also not possible. She went on to explain that I needed to check out by such-and-such a time &c., which was annoying as I had just explained that I needed to leave before eight. By far the worst thing was that she told me there was a 'tourist tax' per person per night. I informed her that I was not a tourist. She announced that Cracow was not my place of residence and I corrected that it was. She did not ask for any evidence (which I could easily have provided) but merely kept restating that I was not a resident, like an automaton. (Other hostels that I have stayed at in Cracow do not charge this tax -- they must I assume take it out of the main fee, a much more friendly system. It's unreasonable of Nathan's to neglect to mention this surcharge on their HostelBookers page.) In the morning, the manager also could not find my booking, but when I insisted that I was sure about it, she was mysteriously suddenly able to find it. I paid what I actually owed and refused to pay a tax that does not apply to me. However, had I not been able to just walk out of the door, I am sure she would have repeated that I was not a city resident all day like a mantra.

Liked: This place was great. They had toast for breakfast and a full kitchen area to cook in. Rooms were spacey and clean and nice. We had a great experience. Wish we could have stayed longer than a night. Great price and great place to stay!

Disliked: Musty smell in the basement bar area but if you dont go down there everything else was fantastic.
