I've stayed in four different hostels in the threecities area, Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia, to and fro from July to November, and the Old Town Hostel is by far the best, as well as cleanest, best equipped and friendliest, so what more can you ask for?

Friendly staff, despite the appearanc eof the place looking very 'shifty!' it is actually well located in that it is only a short walk to the main part of the Old Town.

the building on the outside looks a bit run-down and it is a little tucked in the corner, but don't let that fool you. the inside is AMAZING, the breakfast is pretty extensive, you can give a 10 zl deposit to get a lock for a locker so your things are secure, free wi-fi and one computer with skype, they constantly clean the place, free linens and towel, too...hot water, bike rental for 30 zl a day..what more could you want? especially for about $15 a night!

The place was really nice! Very calm, helpful personnel etc. It felt really safe there! And the connictions to the city were really good! You could also walk to the city in 10 minutes.

Very nice and clean hostel. Staff was friendly and helpful. A nice place to stay but the location was not that good. Breakfast was good but some vegetables and eggs were not fresh at all. Anyway I fully recommend this hostel to everyone visiting Gdansk.

very friendly and helpful guys working there. close enough to old town, and about 15 - 20 min walk from main train stn if you know the way.Good instructions to get there by tram - although I did not see any names at stations so count the 6 stops. Cheap supermarket 4 min walk away. Comfortable beds in cheapest dorm, but not so comfy in more expensive 6 bed dorm. Great free breakfast.Would highly recoomend it. If arriving after dark on the tram, it can feel like you have arrived in a bit unsafe neighbourhood, but all was fine.

quirky location aside (its close to the tourist spots enough, but its kinda weird to have a hostel located behind this old and disused pharmacy), so it was a surprise to find the hostel there with good hostel facilities. staff there were mostly helpful, showing where/how to take public transport and directions to attractions etc. didnt like being made to pay for a map tho.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Hostel is very clean, atmosphere very nice and it's less than 10 min walk from the 'Main Town' where are most tourist attractions.
