"I love the fact that they organise the tours from the hostel. We did the Taal volcano tour. They do this one everyday at 9AM in a minivan for a maximum of 6 people for 5400 pesos to divide by the number of people going.…"Read all OMP reviews

More than that...
OMP is a warm, familiar, comfortable place for the weary traveler with a modern vibe. It best located -- adjacent to SM Supermarket, a shopping mall, a pharmacy, 7-11 convenience stores, Filipino restaurants, ATM or cash machines, money changers, wellness spas and more. The hostel is along the main thoroughfare where public transport abound, particularly jeepneys and taxis. It is close enough to the airport, reachable in 25minutes or less during off-peak hours.
Talk about night life… it is just across the street, even to its left and right as well. No worries though, the hostel is well-designed and high enough in its new-found location to get your much deserved peace and quiet. It’s clean, clean, clean, complemented by sincere service and heartfelt concern from both the owners and the staff who are committed to do everything in order to make your stay worthwhile and memorable.
Finally, OMP strives to do its best in introducing you to many good things in the Philippines and in Filipinos not readily known to a first-time visitor in this country. Indeed the hostel may very well be your channel for pleasant little surprises as you experience a personal feel of hosteling in the old fashioned, endearing way of Filipinos.
NOTE: For confirmed arrivals past midnight, be sure that the bed you book should be for the cycle 13:00 of the previous day to 12:00 of the current day. Example, those arriving on Monday 1:00am, the bed to be booked should be for Sunday where check-in time starts at 13:00. If you book a bed for Monday, this only means that you are decided to wait til 12:00 noon when the person who booked it for Sunday should finally check out.
All dorm rooms are have comfy beds and air-conditioning.
The hostel itself has kitchenette, cable tv, landline phone and common areas w/rooftop.
In an area where everything seems upscale and expensive, OUR MELTING POT offers affordable accommodation (for as low as Php500 or $12), in accordance with fine and delicate hosteling criteria, with free breakfast and Internet, free city maps and tour advice, and free access to roofdeck and outdoor terrace with indoor games such as darts, fussball, etc.
Further, OMP boasts of a peaceful vibe apart from being new, modern, clean and with distinctive Filipino character. It is conveniently located -- right in the heart of Makati City which is the financial & entertainment hub of Metro Manila.
* Note that we only accept credit cards for reservations from this site, with the balance payable in cash upon arrival.
In general, Our Melting Pot should be accessible from any part of Metro Manila. It is located right on the corner of Makati Avenue and Guerrero St., directly across the A-Venue Mall parking lot.
On foot or by cab, the Ayala Museum, the posh Greenbelt and Glorietta Malls (the entertainment center), the Power Plant Mall in the elite Rockwell Center are all well within reach. Manila's more popular tourist attractions such as Intramuros, the Mall of Asia, the American Cemetery are a US$ 2-3 taxi-ride away only.
The hostel's location is in a vibrant and upbeat bel-air village where you would find fellow budget travelers from different corners of the globe.
Now, if you're island hopping, brace for a challenging experience as our 7,107 awesome but incomparable islands are mostly raw and not tourist-ready, with the exception perhaps of popular destinations such as Bohol, Boracay and Palawan, Cebu, Banaue, Davao and the like. But as far as possible, we -- young, well-travelled backpackers ourselves, will help you chart your itinerary so that you derive the most from your alloted time and resources, drawing from our personal backpacking experiences here and abroad. Throughout your stay, our objective is to offer you a sincere, personal feel of hosteling in the old fashioned, intimate, endearing way of Filipinos. We shall serve you a modest breakfast, generous enough to get you going 'til lunchtime.
